We didn’t get a jeep either, maybe today

It is too hot for comfortable geocaching this afternoon, I’m taking a break from a puzzle and decided to see if any of the top 20 finishers had used any catch-all new caches published after the Quest started. Although it probably belongs in thread stealers it is only interesting to people tracking elusive cache title so here is a partial list by state
    Utah
GC13B4J Dog Gone Worst Troubled Apple for Muddy Hot Wheels
GC1397N Jasper Swamp Worst Menace Jeep Dog Goat
    New York
GC136Z4 Jim Apple Goated by Worst Trouble with Micros
GC139QT Angelic or Aggravating? You Decide by No Jeep in Sight
GC139QH The Apple of our Eye…a Dog Cache
    Pennsylvannia
GC13E9Y My Goat Jasper likes Apples and Jeeps
    Maryland
GC13KPX Apple Flavored Hot Wheels Really Get My Goat
    Texas
GC138AW Outlaws III Best Tricky Jeep Angel in a Mask
GC13AAA A Boy Named James and His Dog but No Goat
There were more but this is enough for a chuckle about cache naming.

Luck and timing play a big part too. Here is the story of our FF for 13th chase. Get our “puzzle”, search for 2.5hrs find it and it has already been solved. The next two spots give security notices. Sign out completely and back in to search for a new photo. This time search for 3 hrs, again to find someone had beat us. Really frustrated but back for a 3rd photo and this time we finally got it first. That last search helped us with the final though. We were searching out from a outlaw location with the page back to move through the caches. Never used tab will have to try that sometime.

Congratulations to Jay for being first to finish of the WI players. I just noticed that now the finishers are beng listed by average chase time. That should be interesting to watch.

We are still in Moab trying to decide if we will actually chase outlaws. The other half of the team says I need to pick the cars, so if we do go be prepared to laugh. I know nothing about skid lockers, can not find rock stairs among my locations to take that Hummer and will probably ended up taking the PT Moozer across a flooding creek. Finally located caches for all the outlaws but have to travel way too much and still need to actually find a couple

These are farther than 30-40 miles but for
Masked Menance—Mac Un Rows Madness GCTY8K
We found Pure Evil but by the time I read the forum Evil was not allowed, although some had already used it. Made me want to ask Tami to change the title to Pure Evil, Aggravating and Frustrating because it sure fit the intent of the requirement

If going up to Neenah you are close to several caches with Apple or variation in the title. And further up Quilt Crazy cache GCP7H3

The answer Lostby7 got about the impact of a late start is making us think that maybe we will play again too. Think much will depend upon the exact requirements of the “hunt” Good luck to all. May the outlaws be outwitted by the WI posse!!!!

Thanks for the congratulations. Our son introduced us to his “sport” more than 5 years ago and we are still enjoying it today. Lots of changes though, both good and not so good. We always enjoy meeting other geocachers and discovering new trails and parks.

Ours came today and it wants to go to Nyon Switzerland. The interesting thing is that the second nearest cache noted on the link page is Stargate P46006 TB Cache. Has anyone used a stargate? Had good luck with it? We will be traveling to MN around Christmas and could get it to Stargate P4492 near Red Wing.

Congratulations to Greyhounder! It looks very soon she will solve Orient Express and earn her coin!
I hope it is a long time before I have to pick any suitcases again but game was fun and a good way to search out and do some of those caches just out of your normal area.

I wondered how you (Team Honeybunnies) got the 4 leaf clover. I think we got lucky because we hit 2 short times when we had already found about half the requirements. For Ratz and Company: for each requirement you log on the game site you receive another piece of the treasure map. On the first piece is what you need to solve the first coded line of the Journal. On the second piece is what you need for the second line, etc. Please e-mail me through geocaching.com if you need more

We were not any better with our pick (30 hrs) can’t log our 2nd cache until midnight tonight. At least it gave us the time for some caches.

We got a 10 hr delay in our suitcase. Guess that gives us a few hours to figure out where to go for the requirements. I hope there are no FTF, events, or caves. Anyone betting on there being a tunnel?

in reply to: Thoughts on a 2007 Wisconsin Geocoin #1766801

With the smaller size cache containers being more common now, maybe we should consider making a micro size coin. Could use a smaller version of the WI side of the 2006 coin and something simple on the other side.
