Thanks Ron, it was great hitting the 54 counties I needed during July and cleaning up the 20ish Jeremy needed. The stinging nettles guard the Star Light final pretty well!

GR8 JOB! Congrats to you. I celebrated last night by hitting one of your new caches! 😆

Congrats to Ken on both achievements! Thanks for all the time you spent helping build the WGA to what it is today.

I feel like OuttaHand said it best about the tipping a waiter/waitress comment. I may not be the best “tipper”, but I try always tip something.

in reply to: cache series as COTM? #1763307

COTM = Cache of the Month – not caches. Any one cache in a series can be nominated. There should also be a CSOTY = Series of the Year if so many want to vote on it. I think almost all series are great due to the time and effort put into them. 😆

I never met a map I didn’t like, but these are great! Good work! 😆

One of my all time favorites is right in Brookfield = Honey, I Shrunk The Cache! by Ranger Boy (GCH10J) 😆 . A challenging and fun four-part multi with an interesting virtual very close by; First Baby of Brookfield by The Lil Otter (GC7EBF) so you don’t go away empty handed 👿 !

in reply to: Any news on a new Magellan contest? #1763150

We stopped at a Volvo dealer and took a map for the Pirates of the Caribbean contest and the rules said something about having to be a citizen of the USA and having a valid passport and winning awards you with a trip and a chance to win the SUV?!? We became less interested because they want you to register with all of your personal info, name, address, email, etc… We get enough junk mail already! 👿

We also hoped for more from Treasure Hunters, but being big Amazing Race fans, we like the show enough to DVR it every week. 😆

Less than four weeks to go, I can’t wait!

in reply to: How’d you get your handle? #1760235

Robohide introduced me to geocaching the same week I met a special woman (now my wife)! She is from Poland and the first two words I learned in Polish were Piwko = beer and Kurczak = chicken, yes our first date was a dinner date. When she geocaches with me or joins me for events she is noted in the logs as Slonecznik = sunflower.
