All the Gandy Dancer trail series?
I started my very first TB “Loner the Red Light” back in November 2003.
http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=61352
On June 19th 2005 Loner made his successful return to the same cache cache he had began his journey from after completing his goal and traveling 16,440.1miles
I got alot of help from some very nice cachers in several states to get him back up to MN, and dropped within my area so it could be dropped back where it started. Very cool!
States=WI, MN, Michigan, Indiana, Washington, Missouri
Countries/etc- Aruba, Netherlands, Akershus, Oslow, Norway Denmark
My other 3 have all been dead since 2006 or so- had very bad luck with the rest, but Chester was a rockstar!
I recently re-released one of them, but it has yet to get started again.
Way to go Bobcat!
The only one I’ve ever done, but have to highly recommend it-
it has 3 options for different types of paddles-http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=db5a5bf2-a8f2-41c8-b881-c838f7c8b457
Mallalieu Canoe by tricolor
The last dnf log was from a guy who didnt even get out of his canoe, so I doubt it has gone missing. Its an awesome trip!
I plan to be there- should be a great time!
I’d be game for attending something in NW area if I can work it in the calender.
ticks? ba – I seem to be invisible to them- I can go out with a group of 20 people, for 3 hours in the woods- and be rolling around in the ground, in the leaves, trees or whatever-
And I wont get a single tick – while the scared-e-cat who stays in the car for fear of ticks will get 1-2-3……I guess I’m guess lucky that way! (And I check often:)

Zuma’s experience here describes my Minnesota problem to a T. People often ask me, “Hey Brett… you live in Minnesota, yet you cache in Wisconsin all the time, what’s up with that?” Well up till the point that I read Ralph’s caching story it could be summed up with two letters
KB
But now I seem to have another reason.I’d also like to share a couple of my favourite KB lines if I may, and please allow my to paraphrase:
KB “….Well, how often are the coordinates right on anyways?”
(relating to my DNF of a Virt at the Earl Brown Herritage Center)“…. I didn’t know that it was our job to encourage people to cache.”
(relating to his publishing of a cache listing with no description at all of that cache, just a blank page. (I must mention that after seeing that listing, I tried to submit it as COTM based of the ‘Great Amount of Planning and Effort’ that went into it. What ingenious camoflage, a cache made to look like garbage, why didn’t I ever think of that? 🙂X2
Wow, thats funny- we are in very similar situations.
He’s now moved into NW Wi, so . . . . . 😯@greyhounder wrote:
Yes, we are aware of some issues with votes at this point. I was going to address this a little later, but will do so now.
People should realize that when you place a vote we see your ISP address, as well as other information that tells us who placed the vote and at what time. Those that think they are cheating the system are NOT. These votes will be removed, and the accounts will be disabled.
The fraud is being perpetrated by a small number of people. I will not name any names. I am pretty disappointed though.
Please know that votes for board of directors will be closely scrutinized!

Are you talking about OP- COTY voting , or voting for the board?
I assume you mean COTY. . . just want to clarify since your post mentions BOD elections
Yes I read it, and check it often thanks
Fred C Anderson Scout camp, outside of Stillwater/Summerset is a Very cool place, and with a GPS I could show them kids areas they (probably)werent meant to see- By that I mean Im not sure we never strayed from camp property- Id have to check it, but we found some really cool places out there. Man did we explore that area in the 4-5 times I was out there!!!
(a freind broke his leg on the bluffs, our “scoutmaster” almost started one of the cabins on fire, etc)Some of the best memories ever come from scouting, and especially the big jambories, etc. Never missed one!
Anderson is about the only place I could help out, so keep me in mind.
Edit to fix
Just had the ambulance at my Mom’s house about 2 weeks ago- stopped y to find her “Low” – er- thats 18 for anyone who knows low. She has a new doctor now, and is doing well- thank goodness. I forgot to do this the other day, so I have now done it.
Edit to include I got a GJTB by requesting one, and there were a Lot less of them out there, so Im hopefull.!
Thanks to the board, Jeremy and ElfDoctors from making it a reality!

PTO,
The gc.com site was created at a time when the only other type of hide and seek game in the woods was “letterboxing.” The WGA was created by people playing on the gc.com pages and continues to represent those people today. All members of the WGA are members on the Groundspeak site. Though it is not a requirement. And…bottom line is…without Jeremy and friends starting the Groundspeak site, you don’t even know that any of those other sites you play on would be out there. Any questions, check out this site: http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Geocaching
And note that all references to “geocaching” pertain to links taking you to gc.com pages. (side note: be sure to click on the Dave Ulmer link. The history is interesting!)(another side note: the fact that one website chooses to link all its related links to gc.com proves only that there is a website that chooses to link all its links to gc.com.
I agree. Its wiki.
Not that it seems to matter but WikiPedia list nine different listing sites. Its a matter of where you get your information.I’m not saying it’s bad, or wrong to play on the other sites, I’m just saying that while there are those…obviously yourself included…who may think otherwise, the gc.com members are the members the WGA BOD needs to concern themselves with today!
I would tend to disagree here. The WGA BoD and the WGA is here to represent all Wisconsin geocachers. That said, the geocachers I worry about making a negative impact in the state are the ones who list on sites other than gc.com. The listings on those site are not necessarily consistent with gc.com rules. The listings on those sites may not enforce the rules and guidelines that we in the WGA have worked so hard to put together with the DNR. The danger is not those on gc.com who know or will find out about the guidelines. The danger is from those who by chance or choice place and search geocaches that could threaten geocaching in WI.
All my hides that may be listed on other sites conform to gc.com hiding guidelines, since they are mainly listed there. Interestingly enough, they have never been logged by another sites user.?None of my caching activities strays from the policies and guidelines in place by gc.com, the WiDnr, or other land managers – anyone. Ive been been doing plenty of policy research for several years, and worked with the WiDnr on several issues over the years. Ive worked to educate people on the sport, and following all the guidelines. Ive done lots of Cito, although it was more volunteer park cleanup than caching. I could go on but don’t see the point.
GeoPink- I understand your concerns, but 1)my main point was, WGA represents all Wi cachers, and that other sites exist. 2)I understand and fully comply with all gc.com caching guidelines, and all other policies in place- nobody has anything to worry about(I am curious about something though…how is it that someone who lives in St. Paul, MN, has been a gc.com member since July 8, 2003, and has 80 finds, finds themselves telling people who actually live in the state of WI what they can and can’t think about their association.)
What does my caching history have to do with the questions I posed to you? Or the rest for that matter.?
I don’t think I told anyone what they can or cant think? I asked you for clarifications on your points made, and made some counter points- but after re reading my posts, I don’t see anywhere that I tell you what to think? Reference please.?
As for the St. Paul/ Wi thing, see below. Why don’t you go out and log 2000+ finds, travel to 19 states in search of hides, attend several CITO events to clean up parks, as well as collect seeds for the WI DNR, assist in the planning, execution of, and cleaning up of some WGA events (and cache hides), work with the WI Visitors Bureau, have an AP reporter follow you around for a day seeking hides (stopping on the way home to buy a GPSR because of the fun he had…attending an event you hosted…caching with you and your friends after the event…), visit a couple of city council meetings to see what’s happening with Geocaching, get paid to help newbies better prepare themselves for a day on the trails, as well as countless other activities for the sport of GEOCACHING, then tell me what the WGA should mean to me again! Oh yes, and unless you’ve done so without changing it on your gc.com profile, MOVE TO WISCONSIN! Perhaps then I’ll have more respect for what you think you know about my state and my assocation!

(A proud and active voting member of the WGA!)The opinions of the newbie who has yet to log a find are no more or no less valuable than the opinions of the seasoned geocacher. The reader can choose to place whatever value they’d like on what they read. But all opinions should be treated equally and with respect here on the forums.
You have more time on your hands to be active than I do. Why, is irrelevant. My find count is too for that matter.
My join date is important, in that you’ve noticed Ive been around the game for a while. I don’t plan to post my resume here of everything Ive ever accomplished, because I don’t Need the self recognition- or care to post those kinds of things to hold over others.Incidentally, PTO is listed as a “WGA Member” under his name above. that means two things. He has submitted his information with a WI address and he has a verifiable email address.
If viewing my gc.com profile is all the more “searching” you did, then it shows allot. I have a valid WI address. WI BOD can easily verify it against my personal info, and match the property to me.
I used the same yahoo addy as I did at gc.com.Briefly- although an explanation to You isn’t needed, To own a residence in MN you need to homestead it. I do own a home in Wisconsin.
A person can not homestead 2 properties at once, in 2 different states.
The cabin designation is based on my main residence, and TAXING me as an out of state resident. “Moving” to WI is simply a paperwork process- and a technicality . Kinda like marriage after being together 10+ years, but also with many implications.Where I spend my days between the two, and how I choose to register it with the 2 states are simply personal items that are unnecessary to explain to you.
I don’t care what respect you have for me, but I have None for you-
