How about a James Bond theme next year?
      As in 007.
I have some ideas for Bond caches.

Wow, thank you! I’m such a turtle, only 700 after 10 years. I guess I spend more time cooking up hides rather than seeks.
Actually not much begging at all at the WGA Pig Roast for hints, all though Wrongway Junebug and Marble Guy pretended to strangle me! I did hear I may have narrowly avoided an attempt to kidnap me at Nagflix a couple weeks ago and transport me to Sisyphus to make me spill the secret! Whew, that was a close one.
Thanks again, I really enjoy the hobby and all the nice friends I’ve met through it! 😀

I was on my way to India with a stop in Amsterdam and I had a travel bug that wanted to be left in Holland. Unfortunately my first GPS was stolen by a pickpocket despite my putting it in a buttoned front jacket pocket. 😯 I needed to find a cache to leave the Bug but no longer had my Garmin V to use to find one. I posted a message on the forums and was contacted by a nice geocacher. She described one to me that would be easy to find (abandoned car)and gave me directions. Sure enough it was easy to spot. I completed my mission and dropped of the TB.

Thanks for the nice comments. I’m such a slow poke, it took me 9 years to find 600 caches!

I may have seen this type of cache. 😉

Thanks for the help guys. I emailed Braid Beard since he had the more recent copy. Appreciate the help.

It stressed the common rules like no burying, but it did have interviews from park managers that, in my opinion, over exaggerated the “dangers” of having a cache off a trail thus creating new trails. Some of the managers came across with a “how dare these people actually use the public park” sort of attitude.

The other subject I was not expecting was that geocaching attracts many people that have Obsessive-compulsive disorder issues. I guess that explains some of the participants that are really into the numbers, or making sure they get every cache in a given area, or being first to find.

                    REF: GCVBVB “Rebus & Tutt-Head”

My cache is along the green trail at Scuppernong, but the Ice Age Trail intersects near one of my waypoints.

Note: That is quite an impressive list you came up with LostBy7!

Wasn’t there a cache in Wisconsin that asked you to hike any section of the Ice Age Trail and for your log you would put the starting and finishing coords for the section you hiked?

I can’t remember what it was called but it had tons of usefull logs for getting I.A.T. waypoints. I remember it was located near Hartman Creek State Park.

When the hidden waypoints are added to the page does this mean the reviewer can see all the multi stage waypoints? Does it still help to email the reviewers a waypoint file for a cache submission?

I got a chance to talk with the ranger that found Geo-Tube. Apparently he does know about geocaching, he just thought they were all ammo cans so when he saw the tube he didn’t identify it for what it was. He said there was no sticker or label on the tube. A previous visitor may have removed it.

Also Once the deputies opened it he groaned as it dawned on him it was a cache. He said there was one travel bug in it (the Red Hot Chile Pepper) and he managed to save that. The rest was taken by the Sheriff’s Department.

He will give me the bug to put back into circulation.

Well at least the bomb squad wasn’t called. I think this incident will blow over (PTP) and hopefully not affect caching policy in the county parks.

How do they know when you are coming so they can go put out the container for you?

You can always always post on “Looking for someone to cache with” and an experienced team would probably be happy to take you out and show you the ropes.

Hopefully you wouldn’t go missing and end up in the travel bug graveyard. That would defeat the whole purpose of cremation.

Also you don’t want to end up in a buried cache such as the one shown on Law & Order. Then you would spend eternity in a “ash hole”.
