Sadly I haven’t seen activity from badlatitude and Artopsy in quite some time. I learned a lot about making multi’s and good camo jobs from those two. I hope they return soon.

Let’s not start with the pocket pool jokes. This is a family site you know!

The owner of a cache should be able to mark a bug missing. I think you go to your cache page, click the bug in question, and on the upper right of the bug page there should be an option for “mark bug missing”.

So can you have more than one type of map for the same area loaded in the 60c and then toggle between them? For example the usual city select map and then a topo or this R&R? Can you then switch which map you see out in the field?

Drat! I forgot to take a picture before I put this in the field. Maybe a finder can add a photo to the gallery.

                1. It can’t be a license sticker because it needs to be seen from the booth the attendant is in. Also when we check for stickers in parking lots it would be difficult to check each front license plate since most people pull into a spot front first.
                2. The post that stated the sticker must be stuck to the window by its own adhesive is correct. The sticker is consisdered invalid if it is not. We can tell when we shine our Inova MicroLight on it.

My suggestion at annual meetings has been to offer a longer term sticker such as a 5 year, so at least the removal burden wasn’t yearly. My ideaa was shot down on the grounds that rates increase more frequently than five years.

My next idea was to issue a permit similar to the computer printed fishing license. It would have the vehicle license plate of the car it is to be used for printed right on it. It could sit on the dashboard and we could check to see if the vehicle plate matched the one printed on it. If not we issue a ticket.
That idea got “gonged” on the grounds that prevents people from buying the yearly sticker as a gift for others. I hadn’t realized how many people gave stickers as Christmas gifts.

So until someone comes up with a better way I’ll be doing the annual scrape and scrub ordeal just like everyone else.

                  TRAIN 2005

This is late notice, but I just found out the Holiday Train is coming again to Fox Brook Park tonight (Dec 9,2005).

This is a great events for kids and entrance is free. A food donation is suggested.

DOH! I did go to the game but got this notice too late.
Not only that but I was humiliated by Vikings fans as the game turned in the second half and the purple braided ones took the game in the final seconds with a 56 yard field goal. I got to drive home as the purple fans hung banners over the I-94 overpasses that said “Go home cheeseheads!”

I hate to rain on their parade but I don’t think the “Bye-Queens” are going anywhere in the playoffs either. In fact after their little boat escapade the “Tice-Tanic” is sinking fast!

Sure, you’re welcome. I just like to note what I am experiencing at the moment. I don’t sign too many with a TFTC or TNSL. I just believe if someone took the time to make the cache I can put some effort into writing about my hunt for it. I’m in no hurry to rack up large numbers, I just live in the moment for each I find. I guess that’s why I just went over only 300 finds even though I’ve been caching for about 3 years.

I enjoy reading a good log entry. My favorites are from JThorson, who usually has a witty one-liner, and this guy out west named Oregone. I have spent hours laughing out loud as I read the hilarious adventures of Oregone.

What logs to WGA members like to read?

Upon further review of the picture, I’m guessing that water was cold!

Seriously most animals won’t hurt you. Few would actively “hunt” you. The “most dangerous game” is still man.

Maybe we should organize a car pool event and visit all the “park ‘n’ hide” caches that have been increasing rapidly too.

Wow, I just posted this warning a few days ago and nearly got nailed myself. I was getting firewood for someone from the wood pile. I was about to add some more pieces to the ones I had loaded into the car when I saw something on a log already in the trunk. It was a nest and the wasps were starting to emerge!
I quick grabbed it, flung it into the woods, and ran. Fortunately it was night and the little stinging pests were docile. I shuddered when it occurred to me I had just been carrying that log against my body. Thank goodness I didn’t grab it by or on the nest!
