This is a very unique hunt. I would keep it. This was one of the early caches I found that got me hooked on the game. It was especially spooky for me because I went to find it after seeing the horror movie “The Ring”. Boy did I have the heebie jeebies!
Have you checked it lately though? I wonder if the reflectors have weathered. But then again if someone couldn’t find it wouldn’t they log it or make a note?
Also watch for my new collection of theme caches, one for each of the Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl victories. [/B]
This will have to be a Virtual cache since it doesn’t exist! Hah!
I think I have to find like 200 caches or something before I become Ranger Man.
The nickname came from a lifeguard I used to work and go out with. She called me Ranger Boy. I found my first cache in a park I was on patrol in, so I used the name for geocaching.
I encountered some “bare” activity at Goosey Barclay last month. Some nut was sitting on the bottom of the big hill with all his clothes off reading a naughty magazine. I really didn’t care to investigate futher into his activities. I deal enough with that kind of stuff during my shifts at the parks, I certainly don’t need to on my off days!
Radio Shack: batteries, FRS radios.
Gander Mountain: bug suit, binoculars, boots, boonie hat!
Pick ‘N’ Save: peanut butter, bread, nutri-grain, bottled water.
Cousins: Foot long sub! Mighty hungry after a long day of hiking!
It was nice to see all the WGA people that came out. I met some new teams as well. See you on the trails.

Annual sticker for a Waukesha Co Resident is $22. I’m just providing that info because you could get a ticket if you are in the park without a permit.
Hey I did find one RS green battery recently. I think it was at Tag Sale.
Jeff is correct. It is in Menomonee Falls, in Waukesha County.

I guess I haven’t really tried other receivers, but I am very happy with my Garmin V. I use it a lot for auto navigation on trips and vacations. I was amazed to find that not only could it get me to a city or specific address, I can also do searches to locate the closest gas station, food, attraction, etc. For example while in Minnesota, to see Wis + Marq in the NCAA tourney, my brother said, “ask it for the nearest pizza place”. (As if the gps was human). Anyway I went to find mode, points of interest, food, pizza. It quickly spit out a bunch of choices (nearest to farthest)with addresses and phone numbers included! My brother called for the pie without the need of a phone book or operator.
Anyway it gets me to geocache hunts just fine. After it navigates the best route to drive and gets me parked I tell it to find the cache and go to off road mode and it usually gets me within 20 feet or less. I like it.Yeah what’s the deal with that? I’ve gone to a few cache’s to get a bug only to find them gone and yet the page proclaims them to still be there. Do people take them and not understand they are different from the usual trinkets you swap?
No Way! I just took that show of my VCR’s “weekly shows to record rotation”, it didn’t seem as good as the original TZ, figures there would be an episode about gps hunting!
Did the kids find a treasure chest from any Moon worshipping civilizations too? Maybe that explains the recent Lunar EclipseThanks for the suggestions. I ended up going to “Salute to Stute” for number 50. I’m happy with the choice. There was a 160 year old old farm to learn about, decent size hiking trail, and a great view up a big hill. This is a great sport, I look forward to the next 50.

I know that everyone will have a recommendation and there are lots of good ones – which area are you going to go to would be the question.
Goodluck.
Thanks. Maybe that is because in Minnesota Geocaching is not allowed in State Parks So maybe there are less available to find. I hope that never happens in Wisconsin.
Anyway I usually hunt in Waukesha Co, but was thinking of heading west of Madison to Governor Dodge State Park. I notice there are several within that park with 3 stars or higher. An overnight camp may be in order to find them all.I just tried my first two two paperless caches yesterday. I really liked it. I got a Palm M515. No more hand entering coordinates and printing each cache page I desire. It is so easy to get a Pocket Query e-mailed to you with 100’s of caches in Mobipocket reader and their waypoints in Easy GPS. Now if I happen to be driving in the area of a cache I can look up the description page on the Palm and off I go. No more missing caches that happen to be right in the area of another cache I’m searching for. Well worth the Premium Member Fee of $30 for the Pocket Query service.
