Hmmm…mine doesn’t do that. I’m supposing you use a different macro than I do…NuviExport.gsk by Lignumaqua on my Garmin Nuvi 50LM.
the macro I use is not supported anymore 🙁 It is garmin-nuvi-exportgpx.gsk by pilotsnipes on Garmin Nuvi 760
Congrats on finishing the State Parks series. We are enjoying this series and are amazed at the things you can find in your state parks. Without this series we would have continued to miss all the state parks have to offer. We have discovered that there are many that we want to revisit.
Welcome to the friendly WGA. Everyone on here is so helpful so if you have questions don’t hesitate to ask 🙂
I load them in my Nuvi as POI’s and I get GC#, cache name, d/t, description, coordinates and logs. When I load the Nuvi for our next outing it automatically deletes the previous POI’s
Our geomobile has a built in gps but we still use a Nuvi for caching. We download pocket queries and load thru GASK also. If we are within 3/4 of a mile from a cache we get a notification that pops up at the top of the Nuvi screen. It also shows the cache details if you click on the cache. If anything ever happens to it I will be sad as I haven’t found another one that I have been able to do this with.
There is a smiley face near Black River Falls. They were hidden by Snyder Bear. Here is a link to one of them: http://coord.info/GC1HNGJ
I send in the DNR notification form but do not wait for approval. Some times I also mail in the notification form and depending on the area sometimes I get an email from them with approval-much faster than waiting for approval in the mail. Only once have I gotten a response saying more information was needed and after that was sent to the DNR land manager I got an all ok from them.
Thanks for the quick fix!!!!
I get the same error when I try to access the cache of the month 🙁
My personal opinion is the coordinates should be as close as possible to the actual container. If you want it to be hard to find then I suggest a great camo job.
02/24/2015 at 6:48 pm in reply to: How do you access your geocaching info? Mobile device or computer? #2036190I use both the computer and my phone. I have found the phone to be very helpful when I need to look at a picture on the cache page since pics are not loaded in the gps. I much prefer to use the gps to find a cache rather than the phone caching app. Or there have been occasions when for some reason or other logs or hints won’t show up on my gps – then once again it is the phone to the rescue!!
Geocaching goes with almost everything!!
I really want to go also. I have been watching this and hoping to get to go this year. If they open this weekend I plan on going providing I don’t have to work.
First I would like to congratulate the new / returning board members! Second, I would like to thank everyone that took the time to read the Candidate forums and take the time to vote. And last but not least, I would like to thank everyone that supported me in the election. See you all on the trail!!
I will be totally committed and give it my all if elected to the Board. I have lots of enthusiasm to bring along with me 🙂 It isn’t hard to be enthusiastic and get involved in something you really enjoy. It also makes it easy to let some of your enthusiasm “rub off” onto others.
