December 2006 on Christmas Day
Our 450 holds 5000 caches and it also shares wirelessly. Have no problem loading lots of caches in it. I usually load around 3500 and it works fine. I use GSAK to load them.
We have the 400T, 450T and 550T and have no complaints with any of them
It seems there are quite few congratulations to you two lately!!! Congrats on 2000 and I’m glad you chose our event for #2000. We’ve had a lot of fun being there for some of your caching adventures. Also a big congratulations to the newlyweds 😀 😀 😀
We have 2 refurbished garmin nuvi 760’s that we use in our vehicles and wouldn’t be afraid to buy another, but we bought all 3 of our Oregons new-only because when we bought them I didn’t see any refurbished.
Congratulations you two!!
Way to go you two! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
We have the 400T, 450T, and 550T and we have no complaints with any of them. Have to agree with everyone about the paperless caching-it is great. I also make good use of the field notes. They make logging your find when you get back home much easier. The camera in the 550 ahs come in handy many, many times.
Thanks everyone. We’ve made a lot of memories and friends along the way. Also have seen lots of things that we would never have seen if it wasn’t for caching. It’s been lots of fun and our plan is to keep on having fun. Thanks everyone for all the caches you’ve placed to help us make memories.
How do you load these on the Oregon? I put them on an sd card but when I tried to use it I get an error message that says there are not routable roads in this area. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Lots of good points have been brought up in this discussion. I also like to get a log that says more than TFTC but some people don’t log their finds online at all. My daughter is one of those that likes to find them but doesn’t always log her find online. I told her if nothing else just write TFTC. At least then the CO knows the cache is still ok and it lets the finder keep a record of their finds. So I guess my point is I would rather just get a TFTC than no online log at all from someone who finds my cache.
Congrats G*Force
Congrats on 1500 Joan & Mark!
Congrats Paul, Kris & crew on 1600 finds. Glad to have shared quite a few finds with you and hope to share many more.
We have Garmin Oregons (450 & 550) that we use for caching but we use a Nuvi 760 in the geomobile. We load our caches in it as custom point of interests and we have the cache name pop up when ever we are within a set distance of a cache (we have it set at 3500 ft). From there we can read all of the cache info including past logs, travel bugs. The only info we don’t get is the attributes. Having this all available when we get close to a cache is really helpful in deciding if we want to stop for it or not.
