Need to wait for the archives of the show to pop up to listen. We heard someone talking about caching on WPR years ago and that started us thinking about doing it. Glad to hear the WGA got back on the air, just wish it would’ve been with Larry Meiller, we still subscribe to his show through the podcast and listen all the time.
Oh man, I completely forgot to tune in to hear about caching on the radio. I’ll have to wait for the show to go into archive to hear it now.
Here is the link:
Congrats everyone on your milestones 🙂
RIP Mr. Greenthumb. You will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
When I get the e-mail newsletters from Geocaching.com, they are set up with links to read more, click here, find out, submit, etc. but none of them actually are a link in my message. My arrow does not change to a pointer hand to go to the link. I have tried a couple computers and it doesn’t change this. Does anyone else have this issue or know why I can’t use any of the links?
Not sure why the links aren’t working for you but if you copy the link and paste it in your browser it will take you to the needed spot.
So which cache(s) did you take them to?
TNBL by the boat launch and one other one that I didn’t participate in but I believe it was a nano by the firewood.
Not only was the 2nd one by the firewood it’s name was Firewood
Word is GSAK makes logging so much easier
I like to do my personal logs for each cache. I keep notes.
Even if you use GSAK to log can you make all your logs personal. In fact if you use your gps to enter notes those notes will show up when you go to write your log. Very convenient 🙂
My response disappeared also, I had to rewrite it.
Personally, I would like to see the WGA choose state properties over local ones for the spring campouts and the fall picnics. The statewide consistency of policies and fees for those properties are known to most people who cache in our state, and those buying state parks stickers to attend those events can use them all year long in all parks in Wisconsin. This also gives financial support to the state properties, which, thanks to recent changes in how things operate, are hurting financially and scrambling to fill in gaps due to the withdrawal of traditional funding. The WGA is a statewide organization that has historically worked closely with the state DNR.
Each of us is entitled to his or her own personal opinion and mine is geocaching is not just on state lands. Many caches are hidden on city and county land also. These areas need financial support just as much as state lands. Personally I am glad the WGA is changing it up a bit and using these lands when they meet our needs. Remember, the world is our playground, not just state lands.
I really don’t want my WGA login name on my tag if at all possible.
Your WGA login name will not be on the tag!!!
It’s been a couple of couple of weeks. It’s looking like maybe the store won’t be open before the Campout?
The store is now open
That is the plan!
Congratulation everyone!!!!!
Welcome to the WGA I_EmmaGhost!! You will find a friendly group here always ready to help!! Hope to meet you at an event or on the trail.
Found two more WGASP caches on Thursday. Brings my total to 41. Six to go!
