I learned from a book at the library, many many years ago before GPS went mainstream…probably before GPS, period!
using a compass, map reading, topo maps, etc.

Still good stuff to know, not just the compass.

cool! Only downside is that the images are a bit dated. Should offer clues of where to look though.

Not sure if its worth $30/year yet though.

I was talking about this in the GC forums about which material for coins, specifically for casting. My current thought is to make a mold out of aluminum, and use lead free pewter or even pure tin to make the coin.

I asked about whats required to make a press or dies for a struck coin, but didn’t get any responses.

I’m a machinist, with CNC equipment, so its no big deal to make a mold or coinmaking dies.

The way I see it, if it doesn’t have a goal tag, take it, and look it up later. If you find out later that it wanted to go elsewhere, you always make up a tag for that bug for future finds by cachers.

I beieve WI has a recreation liabiity protection law. If you own land, and it is open to recreation or used for recreation, you can’t be held liable unless you deliberately have or do something hazardous.
