Just got this log on one of my caches. This is the type of log you get when a large cache hidden in the woods is like.
    Log Date: 7/30/2011
Whoo boy! This area north of the creek is like uncharted territory. I’m glad I have a GPSr and a compass and at least a fair sense of my surroundings! The smartphone with four bars of 3G in my pocket is reassuring, too. [;)]
I will say that the seal on this ammo can works excellently. When I opened it, there was a substantial hiss of air escaping (or entering, not sure). It is in excellent shape and contains some good swag, so if your kids are up for the hike and can manage the bushwhacking, bring ’em! (If nothing else, they’ll be worn out and ready for bed by the time you get home. [:D]) I didn’t take anything, but as there was plenty of extra space inside, I decided to lighten my load and left a few goodies. After I closed it up got up to leave, I noticed ants crawling all over it. I don’t know where they came from or even how they got there, considering the method in which this cache is secured. But, I was too concerned with finding my way to the last few caches and getting home to air conditioning, a shower, food and a couch to really care too much… [:P] TFTC!

If I got involved in that facebook thing I would also hit the like button for KFH. My kids are a bit older than Augusts now 13 and 9. They were 11 and 7 when I started the game. I dont care what that hider says there is NO JOY in a kids face when they find a cache with a log only. All they think about is what is inside they can trade for and when all that is in there is a log they get bored real fast. There are these things called strollers that you can use to walk down bike trails or push them through parks to find caches that the kids will really enjoy. I remember one cache we did that we walked 1.5 miles to find a ammo can. The look they had when we opened that still is in my memory bank. The chatting we did on the walk back takes up about a gig of space in my memory drive. Kids will remember the ones with trade items in them not a nano or micro on the side of the road.

I am not cutting your caches down but do not try to tell me they were hidden for kids. A drive for a ice cream cone would be better than a drive for a bunch of log only caches with the possability of a visit from the men in blue or a angry citizen yelling at us.

If you did not think they would get published, then why hide it and go through building the cache page and wasting the reviewers time. They have better things to do. There are plenty of good places to hide caches that are not taken in your area. Get off the city streets and explore the outdoors more. Check DNR web sites for property close by. There is still room in the State parks near you. Build a quality puzzle cache then hide the final on a stop sign. On a puzzle its not the find that gives satifaction its the green lite on the solve. Open the box then step outside.

A “Private Property” sign does not necessarily demark public land from private.

Exactily why I suggested to give up on the cache. Thats all we need is more angry property owners. Squash one blade of grass and the world comes to an end. We sure dont need Geocaching to come in front of the Legislators.

Ok here goes. I have not found any of your caches yet since I live 100 miles away from them so I can not say for sure about your hides. I have read the other thread about your caches up there. You do not say what kind of gps your useing. If its a cell phone then cords can not be trusted, go out and buy a handheld GPS to get more acurate cords.
As for one cache being to close to another, walking distance is not the same as a straight line. That is how distance is figured and straight line is what is used for proximity to another cache. Try this link http://boulter.com/gps/distance/ However archived caches do not count so my guess would be that there is a final to a puzzle that is to close to the cache you want to place.
Now as far as Private Property. If your that close it would be best to give up on getting it published. No sence in causing any trouble with the land owner that has the land posted. Even though you may think it is a great spot for a cache, sometimes it is best to pass on it. To protect the sport, keep the peace with Johnny Law and the Public just give that one up.
You also might consider showing up at some of the events that are in your area. You can learn a lot from other cachers.

WTG you two. Thank goodness you didn’t take a nap while there. You might not have made it back due to blood loss.

I really dont think I would be messing with any electric wires. You should never have to take anything apart.

I can help with pancake flipping or sausage rolling. I need a 16 foot ceiling for the pancakes and no hills for the sausages. Melissa (wingwalker) can help with batter mixing, table cleaning, serving or whatever. We now have her work schedule and Sundays are her day off. No croud controll for us we would join in.

It is to bad my daughter is taking the bus to girl scout camp this year or we would be up there in a week to grab your caches. She goes to Camp Blackhawk by green lake. Oh well Good luck with your caches.
