Hello! I went out today and yes, there was a funeral. I felt badly when I got back the lot was packed. But folks were still arriving so someone took my spot as soon as I vacated. I want to Thank You for posting the info about the road – I’m glad I didn’t attempt it. Most of it is fine but there are spots…
It would have been much nicer to meet you all but today was my day.
I’ve never been anywhere like that before- Wow! You are wise to go as a group – I see that rather clearly now. Anyway it was waaaaay fun and exhausting. I doubt I found the best path out or back but I did it and it was fun! Hope you all have fun too!I’d really like to hear what different people consider the “available in winter” icon and the text “winter friendly” to mean when they include them on their cache page.
?It’s fun to hear what’s behind the names. Hubby quickly signed us up when he bought a GPSr. We’ve been RedwingRR for a long time and he used that without a 2nd thought. The RR stands for Rhodesian Ridgeback – a dog. I’ve been addicted to them for quite a while. When we bred a littler we had to come up with a kennel name. We’re in the country, near wetlands and there are lots of redwing blackbirds, plus the dogs are reddish, so that fit. We’ve been wondering if we should switch to a different name for geocaching but… so far we haven’t. What do you think? The redwing blackbirds are pretty darn persistant – that sort of fits.
Sue, redwingrrThanks much for the warm welcome! Wow, all the lost glasses make me think I’ll probably lose them again! Glad to hear I’m not the first!
Hope to meet you all some day at a cache.
Happy searching,
redwingrrBummer. Thanks for the info.
