Thanks everyone 🙂
Congrats Curly Girls on your out of state milestone.
Congrats on 700
Congrats you two
The guys over at the Geocaching Podcast reviewed this unit in their episode 106.
Nice
There are free and legal topos at http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/state/wi/ , they are very high resolution compared to what Garmin gives ya. One downfall on that is my 60csx chokes up when moving threw the map because of the amount of data.
I normally use just the city maps from Garmin, Unless I am up in the north woods, its nice to know where the creeks are at…
3400 seems so far away for me.
Congrats on your milestone

This was from a cache that I found earlier today.

Great day for a bike ride. Didn’t write name in all logs because of the mosquitoes in the brush. TFTCSeriously…. What kind of cacher are you if you can’t handle a bit of mosquitoes?
Yesterday at one cache in Rhinelader the mosquitoes where down right nasty, but we took the time to sign the log, write down all the TB#’s and then we left. Its all part of the outdoor game…
Thanks everyone, I’ve been having a blast caching all over the state. We wouldn’t be able to get all of the caches without the owners putting them out and maintaining them.
I do alot of the cemetery caches at night. I work 3rd shift so at times I am wide awake on the weekends late at night. I haven’t been stopped yet or has anyone questioned me. But the cemetery caches that I do hit are all out in the country where the chances of people coming near them at 2am are low.
Some of them caches just shine when the light hits them. If they use fishing line to suspend them in the air, your light comes across that line it makes them a lot easier to find.
Now that I think of it I found 2 Letterbox caches. One in Omro and that other on the Wiowash Trail. So that makes 2 Letterboxes and 2 mystery Geocaches for me.
Oh yeah now that you mentioned it I did find a letterbox as well, on the Wiowash Trail
