Ryan, what area of the Nicolet are you thinking about? What county?
Jim
Forest county is the county I was raised in, more specifically around Wabeno.

What no Wii internet channel powered by Opera option? 😛

That would either fall under Opera or Other. Never tried Opera on the Wii or the DS, any good?
Yeah its a bummer that you can’t select multiple options in this polls. I also have to use Safari on http://www.geocaching.com to get the “Send to GPS” feature to work.
I guess if you have more then 1 browser you use. Select the one you mostly use or prefer.
I use Opera because it has tons of built in features and I dont’ have to install tons of addons to get it to work the way I want it to work. One of the features I like is the Opera Link. Syncs your “bookmarks, notes, searchs, personal bar, typed history, and speed dial” between multiple computers running Opera and up to the internet from their site. Firefox has a pluggin that does this threw 3rd party and Safari’s you have to pay $99 a year for.
The note sync is great, that is where I keep all of my Geocahing notes. I bring one of my laptops with me and take notes with it out on the field and when I come home they sync right up with the rest of my computers.

Here is some information.
Here is one forests policy:
http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/cnnf/rec/geochaching.htmlOther forests may have other policies.
It was discussed in this thread to some extent.
http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7599&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=Thanks, what you wrote in there helped. I was planning on planting a few in the Nicolet forests. My father lives right on the border of it. We also bear hunt the forest in the summer months as well.
I keep most of my geocaching stuff in a backpack under my desk. I’ve been keeping my ammo boxes just stacked under my desk. Still waiting on getting some of my caches approved from the reviewer. They sure do make this game hard.
Welcome to the group, I’m also a noob here.

Just want to echo all the warm welcomes TR. Of course, ya know we like to abbreviate folks names here, so you can be TR.

TR works just fine Z

We echo the welcomes. I had acutally discovered your identity a while ago when you made some of your first finds on a few of our caches. Today, I just discovered this thread, which I had never seen before, by noticing new posts and was curious. I say go for it on hiding some of those ammo cans. I sure do need some new caches to find around town. By the way, one of the finds of a Giz hide that you made was DNFd since you were there by one of our favorite reviewers, so don’t rub it in when you submit those new caches!
Yeah I didn’t know the WGA existed until I seen it on a few peoples profiles. I’m still trying to find a good spot to place them ammo cans. I have plenty in mind else where in the state but I am having issues thinking of a good spot around here. Most of them good spots are already taken.

Well I was just trying to be friendly, I just learned last night that my only good friend in the Valley is divorcing his wife and moving back Europe.
Sounds like you’re in the right spot to find a whole lot of new friends in the Fox Valley. 😀
I hope so, the WGA sounds like a friendly bunch. The whole Geocaching community seems friendly.
I use a Garmin GPSMap 60CSX. We bought 3 of these at the same time. One wouldn’t acquire a satellite signal. Newegg.com is where we got the 3 exchanged it with no issues. A few months later another broke down, but garmin replaced it with no issues either. Other then that, I absolutely love this device.
I’ve either seen your caches or you name on other caches, anyways thanks for the welcome.

Welcome! I also live in Menasha, and am also a rookie. So many caches close to home, you won’t be bored. Is your wife also involved in geocaching? If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em, as the saying goes. The forums are a lot of help, attend events as you are able, and get out there when you can!
Thanks for the welcome. My wife hates the cold so she hasn’t gone out with me recently. Come spring I bet she will be out with me though.
