I almost ran him over once. What memories….
Since this is a unique cache style listed and approved outside GC.com, how about a category titled: Earthcaches, Virtual Caches, Locationless Caches, Moving Caches, Temporary Caches, Vacation Caches, Benchmarks, Letterboxes, Cache Quests, Task Caches, etc.
Are you suggesting the creation of off shoots of the “Off Topic” thread?

I’ve contacted the Philco Company and we’re going to host a Philco Problematic Event. A rep from Philco will be there to fill everyone in on the new features of the newest (1964) Philco Problematic GPSr. 😈
Sandlanders, how close to you live to Friendship?
I have an old Friendship Vacationaire Camper made in that neck of the woods back in the 50’s.
Wouldn’t that make a sweet cache theme?
hhhhhmmmmmm
1 – Creativity! I love the Wisconsin GC.com reviewers – don’t get me wrong! But I’m not restricted nearly as much on the other sites.
2 – Flexibility! I can list traditional, puzzle, offset, virtual, task, TEMPORARY and locationless caches.
3 – Placeability! Is that a word? Find a great spot, but there’s an existing geocache 422′ away? Not a problem, place a Terra or Navi.EDITED TO LIST THE CONS:
1 – Not as many caches……………..yet
Temporary Caches are allowed on Navicache and Terracache. Maybe that’s the solution to the problem.
All those parks that are full of geocaches are surely completely open to place a Navicache or Terracache wherever you’d like.
I archive caches all the time, doesn’t mean someone is placing a new cache. I also never seem to have any problems finding a place to hide a cache.
I do like the idea of getting rid of cacher trails.
I was thinking of Navicaching or Terracaching, but I guess Waymarking would fall into this discussion as well.
New Virtual and Earthcaches require a DNR permit, but what about Locationless.
I’ve seen lots and lots of people getting their picture taken in front of State Park signs (or footbridges, or waterfalls, or lakes, or…). I thought that’d be a good locationless cache to post.
But, how does the DNR Caching policy reflect this? I see nothing on their website about Locationless Caches.
Thrower of Monkey Wrenches here.
How do locationless caches fall into the DNR policy?
I’ve found numerous KB caches – some are good, some are not so good. If I ever place an uncamoed peanut butter jar in a log, just because I can, I hope that someone will give me a reality check!
“Hey dummy, whatwereyathinkin?”
Good thing there’s more than one website to look to find caches.
