I have too agree, the cost of fuel has greatly diminished any geocaching for me. $130 is a lot of money. However, to be fair, one has too compute the difference between last year’s cost with that of this year’s cost.

My family and I are avid campers, but the cost of gas has me very concerned about pulling the pop up all around the Badger State, so as an alternative I’m taking up this crazy addicitive hobby. Not having to pull the camper while still having fun will be a pretty nice alternative.
LOL! You must new to the sport. You just might want to reconsider pulling the pop up. You might save gas.
Yes you’re right, I am new to the sport. But no one is going to convince me that geocaching is as expensive as pulling a camper, along with a family of four, all of our camping gear, clothing, food, water, propane, bicycles, toys, etc. Our camper weighs 2200 pounds empty. When fully loaded to go, it can easily tip the scales at 3000 pounds. At more than $3.60/gallon for regular unleaded, our cost for gas alone will be over $130 round trip with a full tank each way.
oh! Me too.
Please don’t read the first post.

I think it’s cool in general … but has created some spoilers.

Too bad we already have a great Palm. Can we trade for what’s behind door number one instead?
That’s OK! With this one, each of you will continue to be organized. Some people have more than one gps-r. Why not have more than one Palm!
Quite a few people mistake tent caterpillars for gypsy moths. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fid/may02/feature.html
Sounds like a great time. I have found though, and this may sound bad here, that there is more to visiting a new place than geocaching! Sorry!
http://www.co.dodge.wi.us/planning/recreation/parks-astico.htm Astico park is a Dodge Co. park. Camping is available in the woods as well as along the river.
Please check PM.

One Word—-> SUMMER!
The question is, should the picnic be a social event? This does NOT include the Camping event with in the question, correct?
When I started to attend events, I went with the intention of finding as many event placed geocaches as I could within the alloted time. I counted all of the finds. Then, I re-thought the purpose of attending an event. It was to socialize and maybe, find one or two event placed geocaches. At this point, the event took on a whole new feeling. I left the event with a renewed sense of accomplishment. I didn’t find a container with a little stamp in it. Instead, I found new friendships. I renewed friendships from before. Finding these, turned out to be more valuable than a quickly concealed container.
Not only do I read them, but I also respond to them. A nice note of congratulations from the cache-meister, or a hearty greeting to new geocachers is always appreciated.
Check out this link. It appears s though using Blackberry for paperless geocaching works – – – Kindof.
http://gpsokie.blogspot.com/2006/04/saturday.htmlA senior moment! and then a Ah-HA moment!
So, not wanting to let this syncing thing go, on a lark, I relooked at the Sync settings on my pc. It turns out that the ‘backup’ conduit had been set to do nothing. and, that’s what it did—nothing.Well, when I set it to the palm over rights the desktop and then synced the Palm everything was backed up, even the default items.
So there ya go!
Now, If I could just find geocaches in a bunch of rocks this easy!
