Great news for some of our favorite cachers. Thanks for responding. Your cache, your call.

I don’t feel it is necessary to remove anyone’s pictures from the cache logs, as I feel they are part of the logs and tend to increase the interest of most that view them first. Just as at Devil’s Lake, there are many great hiding areas at the good Dr. Evermore’s cache friendly environment. No one has complained about it being too easy. And a shamless plug of another of our caches, is the Hemlock Cache in a beautiful little county park a little north of Reedsburg, just off Hwy 33 on the way to LAX. Take time for a picnic lunch.
Oh my gosh! I after reading kbraband’s post, I went back and looked at the log page.I sure would not have wanted to see all those photos before finding the place by myself.
Do you think the cache owner should take photos off? Especially the ones of the cache location….signing the log, etc. Just my opinion, but I think posting all of these photos really really takes away from the magic of finding this wonderful cache location by yourself.
Most likely the cacher who posted so many photos did so with good intentions, but I would hope he/she would agree, in retrospect that they really ruin some of the fun.quote:

I agree this is a wonderful geocache. Much of its appeal is in the surprise of the location. I just looked at the cache page for the first time in quite awhile and I’m disappointed that one geocacher chose to post so many photos of the place.
We have to agree with Major Brat. Dr Evermore is one of our all time favorite caches. It is the only one we have returned to 5 times, each time taking someone else along to share the fun!

I was able to log in to the store and order coins, no problem.
If you enjoy “watching” caches, when you are a paid member you have an unlimited number of caches you can watch.

The “Green Bay Challenge” brings geocachers together for a day of geocaching — using global positioning devices to find a cache hidden in a public space. The show is In Wisconsin. The listing at 11:30am for channel 10 WMVS in Milwaukee currently shows they are showing a rerun from 2 years ago, but I still have it marked in my DVR. I also have marked the same episode, broadcast at 2:30 pm Sunday on one of the high definition digital channels.
If I catch the segment, I’ll transfer it to my PC and publish it somewhere with lots of space. It probably will be a lot more fun than watching a Packer game
…well, almost ANYTHING is more fun than watching a Packer game these days! Phew!
We have always tried to plan quite a few cache hunts in the same general area, when traveling out of our zip code. Some times we get them all done, some times we don’t, but it is nice to have a bunch loaded in the GPS ahead of time.
I have made my share of “home made playdo” Taught kindergarten for 33 years. However what I am finding in caches is the commercial kind. They usually are scented.

Thanks for the interesting and mind provoking caches you placed. When hunting a wzbt cache we always knew we were in for a challenge!
Actually we collect sig cards (business cards) we find in caches. We won’t take one, if we already have one from that cacher, but if it is a new one to us….we add it to our collection.
We usually leave either a sig card, or smaller card (label size) to caches we visit in case anyone else collects them as we do.
However we would be interested in what others think. If we are just cluttering up the caches we will stop leaving ours.

Ever buy a magazine and have a dozen subscription postcards fall out? Annoying, isn’t it?What about a cache that has a dozen business cards from previous finders inside?
Does anybody actually LIKE going through these cards and noticing that Geo-Locos from Podunk were here?
I am not talking about pins or wooden tokens from cachers, which have some intristic value.
Yes, I know it’s a petty complaint and makes me sound grumpy. No need to flame me, just be HONEST. Are they fun to sort through, or an annoyance? Hmmm??? Am I alone?

Thanks to everyone who responded. I think we have it under control now, and hope to get down there soon to do the series. We’ll let you know when we do. We are looking forward to a fun fun day!
