CONGRATS MARC! Definitely not a micro accomplishment! You had quite a run on some tough local caches lately to get there, and I’m glad you didn’t go for the trip across the rapids in hip boots and got the milestone on a tough local puzzle. Very suitable and challenging! Been good watching your run to #5000 this summer and getting to trade notes along the way. See you on the trail soon. Congrats again!
Well done, Shane! “Wander In The Woods” has been my toughest cache to date as the notable DNF logs show. Great milestone cache for you, and good persistence going back to run the whole course with your son at night to make the find with the replaced final! As impressive as your 400 finds in just half a year are your 31 hides, with some of the more interesting, challenging and creative caches put out in the Valley at the rate of one per week since you started caching. I have enjoyed them all (I think I’ve caught up now!) and also your company on the trail, including several shared FTFs. Congratulations again!

It seemed almost like fate that I would come across SnowWolf and have a chance to consider “beaming it up” to Scotty in Alaska, as he lost a treasured long distance traveled bug in a Wisconsin cache that I subsequently adopted. Glad you had a hand in the amazing story of this coin’s journey and ultimate destination, notmuch!
