Good to share part of that day with you, Mike, even though you kept it a secret till I got home and found you had hit #600 on one of my caches, a tribute cache at that and a nice choice and gesture. Keep the surprises coming and do some caches besides FTFs for your next 100!
You can imagine how thrilled I was when he did a custom-made puzzle last week for our #600 milestone and expected us to FTF it! Took three days for the whole family to endure that. Luckily everyone else was having the same fun and we made it just under the wire.
Ever since, I have renewed my plea for some traditionals. See what it got me – two more puzzles this week. I’d like to say I am getting used to it, but every week there is a new surprise. Can’t we get Marc to show him how to do cemetery caches?
Hats off to you my friend. Life has not been the same with you doing the hides!
Way to go, or whoa, slow down! I’ll never catch up at this rate. Maybe when I retire in 2012, or a couple years after that…. And you joked about our dust trail one day in January? Just keep placing those caches. Every little bit helps.
Hoping to see you in the Valley soon so we can hit the trail together. That might slow you down….. for a day!
Keep on trekkin’ It’s been fun to watch. A BIG congrats again!
The eyes of Menasha are on Omro and Wild Rose tonight. Thanks, guys!
Wow, you two are on a phenomenal pace! A BIG congratulations to you!
It was GREAT meeting both of you in another river town on the trail and having the time to visit at length. It was tough to break away. Wish we would have been going the same direction instead of running the same string from opposite ends, but then I wouldn’t have had a chance to FTF the one you placed that day when it came up the next day!
Looking forward to getting together on one of your next Valley trips. I’ve got some good ones left for you!
Congrats, Sunshine! Nice to have met you chasing an FTF in Oshkosh (even if it was at a pine tree till we got in the right spot). Keep it up and get up to the Valley for a bunch more to check out, and quite a few of ours left!
Thanks for getting the ball rolling in Winneconne. I enjoyed getting out there to do your caches and get a refresher tour of that pretty town. I see there is already another new cache out there, so you did get Winneconne back on the map! Keep it going! It was a pleasure to borrow a page from your book and do “A Sloughfoot Kind of View” in Neenah!
Thanks, all of you! I am only able to spot check the forums as the summer schedule is REALLY busy! I’m already closer to 600 than 500! Lots of encouragment out there, and I am grateful for it. Yes, sloughfoot, I did get both gardens planted in between caches and the next generation of sunflowers is already chest high!
Congratulations, John and Gail! Great team! Glad I got to meet you both by the serpent itself! That retirement idea sounds like a good reason to go full time on the trail! Thanks for the great hides and the ideas, too! Well done!
Just look at what all those puzzles did to my hair and mustache!
Thanks guys! Still trying to blow my cover, I see. Keep those caches coming. Have coordinates, will travel 24/7!
Way to go, Mike! Good to have met you while you were in the home stretch on that milestone. Don’t look over your shoulder! 😉
Congratulations K0rpl! Good luck on your quest for the 1000! We have one waiting out there for you and a couple more to come out soon to help keep you on the way!
An abundance of creativity and imagination in seldom|seen’s caches has inspired us to start on the path of doing some of our own. It is often better to give than to receive. Thanks, Alex!
