California 52520 ? Its like a whole state of West Bends!

I found it very interesting that when I did a search on Yahoo, 3 websites listed contained information about Guinea Hens, and information about their history and raising them. HOWEVER the next 10 websites contained recipes for cooking them.

I have hunted enough to know they were not turkeys. And other than being camped out by the side of the road they did act domesticated (interested in you but you couldnt get close enough to touch one). The odd thing is that there weren’t any farms within 3 miles of where we saw them. We joked that they were bleached peacocks 😆

thanks to all, as I have something to research now.

Download updated drivers from the Prolific website?

Sorry this was so long in coming, but we spent the weekend at our cottage which is closer to Burlington. We only have an internet connection when the neighbor activiates his cable. 😆

Congrats to Team ZigZagNuts. Well done. We were HOT your trail til we BURNED the last riddle. (stupid fireplace) But this does mean we have a whole year to determine what the wager will be next year.

LDove – sorry we didnt get to that beer, I thought your group we be sticking around longer

We will see you next year!

See ya (in the rear view mirror) Sat.

LOL that would be perfect. If you see us in your mirror, that would mean we made up the 15 minute delay and you’d be losing at that point.

I am pretty sure IF you want to load all the Maps for North America on your GPS, then you need a 2 GB card. That is what tech support told me when I asked the question.

Sorry but I cannot help you with the iQue – what I do know is that you physically have to license the CN software to the serial number of one unit. IF you want to upload maps to two units you have to buy two licenses.

The Garmin site indicates you need the preloaded SD card for an iQue3000. I would suggest a call to support to be sure.

I just want to wish good luck to everyone heading to Burlington this weekend.

Like hints and cacher trails we’re not to proud to not accept anything that helps. And I think this is going to be a great time. We’re looking forward to making some new friends.

…and for those keeping score ZagNuts are from Hershey’s…the chocolate factory in Burlington is Nestle…..I sure hope they don’t hold that against us…is it too late to rename us …perhaps “Goobers”?

Glad to hear your sticking with the nut theme.

How about this, since I cannot speak for the rest of the team, between the two of us, loser buys the first beer. That goes great with nuts and LDove and I already are set for getting together for one already.

Boy the lack of taunting and smacktalk is really disappointing…come on lets get excited about this ❗

Kinda hard to get excited when all we have to do is beat a bunch of nuts!

Maybe we could up the competition a bit and get some grannies with walkers to compete as well.

    Hows that LB7 😆

Oh wait you weren’t describing your team?

See, there is the problem with typing in a forum – there is no way to talk ssslllllooooowwww for those that have a hard time keeping up.

As the owner of two Garmins, I can afirm that the compass is very annoying. However we, compensate by using the distance to cache method instead. The best part is watching GreendaleSRT4 do the calibration dance.

Other than that the units have worked very well. And the tech support is great. Only one of ours floats – not that we have had the chance to test it.

City Navigator (street maps) – if you buy the DVD version you load CN into Map Source and then upload it into your GPS. I think of Map Source as one interface between your GPS and your computer. If there is an update, you load that into Map Source and then up to the GPS. The bonus here is you have detailed maps in two places, your GPS and computer.

If you go the SD card route, you dont have to load anything on your computer, since you put the pre-loaded (micro) SD Card directly into your GPS. The detailed maps are only on your GPS. I compensate for that by using Google Earth. Map Source will transfer your waypoints and routes to Google Earth directly.

One thing you may want to check is to see how big of an SD card you have. My understanding is that you can fit all of North America on one 2 GB SD card if you buy the City Navigator NT version.

Your going to love CN. No more trying to read a map while driving, memorize one or guess how to get to a new area driving through a subdivision following the arrow.

There is no doubt in my mind we have saved enough in gas to pay for the CN MicroSD card. Of course its not perfect (like telling me to stop in the middle of I-94 to get a cache) its still a great caching tool.

We are going to leave ’em in our cocopuff tracks! 😈 Thanks Jeremy! You are officially team member #4 now you need to pm me or address so I can submit it on the registration form.

I thought teams only talked smack in the big leagues, but hey why not in geocaching. 😆 Feel free to leave those cocopuff tracks, we have no problems following cacher trails to a cache.
