We have a 60csx as one of our units. I’d be happy to share what I have learned about it with you.

The bad news is the MicroSD cannot be updated and there is no software for your PC. However we bought the SD card version since you can transfer it back and forth between 2 GPSr without problem. The software version of CN is licensed to only one unit. You have to buy a second license for two GPSrs.

YES! LB7 – a hard-core cacher going for the CHOCOLATE – yee ha! 😀 Okay one more… Oh and let’s stop for strong caffeinated beverages on the way there so we can run, run, run on our sugar/caffeine high! 😛

You wont even have to stop- apparently Gooseberries is giving away free coffee, water and snacks at the starting line

As of noon there are 4 slots left, here is a list of the cachers so far:

    1. Team Hankey
    2. Team Keil
    3. Team Blue Squirtles
    4. Team Baby Bugs
    5. Team Girls On A Mission
    6. Team Hawk Claws 4

Hi cj, what part of milwaukee are you located?

I live on the Southside of Milwaukee, aproximately 60th and Lincoln.

I work pretty close to there. I’d be happy to meet you after 5:00 and give you hand developing your caching sense. If your in the mood for some real fun, we could head up to Whitnal Park, there are caches there of all varieties.

The untold story here is that Team DeeJay spent most of the day at the Scout Expo in Waukesha demonstrating the finer points of geocaching (like finding micros on street signs) to people who stopped by. THEN afterwards went caching. Congrats on the milestone Dave!

Them woodland critters seem to be out in full force this this spring.

I hear that, 4 weeks ago we were walking our dogs at the local park. We ran into our neighbor who had her 3 goldens with her. The five of them took off into the woods to play and came about about 5 minutes later carrying 3 opossums. Forunately, the opossum were playing dead. Good thing too, I have seen a baby opossum bite a leg bone from a chicken in half like it was a potato chip.

We made them drop them. One of the dogs even tried to roll on it. Fortunately, they had wandered off on our return trip to the cars.

I’m assuming for temp caches, but one of the big arguments of temp-cache-logging-detractors is that “they don’t have meet published cache guidelines.” Do CITO temp caches have to? If not, again it is an issue of consistency.

To play the devils advocate here, if temps were recognized, how do you regulate them? What would stop someone from sitting at a table and say there are 5 caches right here for you to log. Or better yet, just trade spreadsheets of caches the way people do coin discoveries.

Don’t get me wrong – I think people should be able to log temps since Groundspeak hasn’t taken a stand. (There certainly are enough rules for everything else) But the solution might not be as simple was it appears.

Ummmm, they already count. Did you mean log them so that they don’t count?

I think the OP is suggesting a new class – of cache – called temps and you can log them as found, not attended.

I’d like to the see links too. I’ve searched all over and cannot find Bob’s Big Bulletin Board O’ Caches anywhere using Google or Yahoo. 😉

“We allow the advertising on the pages”

I dont get it. What is that supposed to mean?

It means that Groundspeak allows companies advertising space on cache pages for a price. We however are not allowed any advertising. Charge or no charge. Not even for charity.

But, not completely. The option is there to present your case to Groundspeak directly. They will review it and decide.

GC.com may be the best game in town, but I am starting to see Roheffs point about alternatives.

But if I go log three finds for a three part multi I would be run out of the area.

Not really, you can do that on the GC.com website and is up to the cache owner to decide if you are correct in doing so.
