OK, all clips are now on my website. I’m making a DVD this week for SammyClaws. According to Vince, they’re experts! (referring to Part #5) 😆

Actually, its mostly Greendale4X4’s fault. We were waiting for him to lock up his truck and got snagged for an interview by Jennifer Reyes in the morning. Then, in the afternoon, G4X4 said he wanted a goup picture with Vince. We thought Fox 6 might like some pics for the blog page so we sent them 6n of the pictures we took. The only expert thing we did was manage push the camera button. Of course that doesnt count the several blurry pics of the hawk, turkeys and on the boardwalk. We didnt even get the stamping of the boxes right.

I am bigging to think there are two uncle_funs on this site. And we may have to take you up on that offer, but not until the blood sucking vultures die off a little more. I was swatting them off me getting in the car this morning and it was parked in the garage.

Funny, we took many detours (lunch, 4 GC caches, potty breaks, trip to the beach, etc.) and still took the FTF(?).

Yeah, I have to admit, that my jaw dropped when they said we were the first to finish even after we hiked into the next park to get some additional caches. Sounds like they are going to make this a GC.com event next year. The kids have already put their request in to attend. Many thanks to the SANC staff for this event

No problem 3Hawks you can buy a round of tickets for the group next pizza party. But thanks for the advice on the cache. If there is interest, we’ll post another date.

I counted 3 to 4 permanent ones depending where on the border of Doctors Park starts. Picked up some bug head nets today, so we are good to go. Anyone know what vendors will be there for food?

Just gave them the credit card number. The only thing stopping us now would be blood loss from the flying black horde. What is up with the mosquitos? Made it through two stages of a multi last weekend and gave up because we ran out of repellent.

As long as it doesnt rain, we are going now. In fact, I think we are hooking up with Greendale4x4 that morning. I think he wants to laugh at our cache finding antics.

In the past we have done the evil parent approach. Each kid had to find 7 clues to a final location. To find each of the seven they had to solve a mathmatical or grammatical problem, then the received the clue to that location. All went well til they found a problem with one of our calculations.

Just wanted to thank everyone who attended the informal pizza and cache outing. We had a great time meeting other cachers and hearing their stories and sharing many laughs. Even better yet, we now can put faces to all the screen names. I am happy to say it will definitely be a memorable meeting for us. To echo Uncle Fun’s comment – we will have to do another one of these soon

Anyone interested in having a family member pick up a coin for us?

We are trying to decide what to do –

GONIL Picnic, or FOX Cachefest. We really want one of those coins, being as tho we are serious coin addicts.

So.. if anyone can volunteer a family member, we will pay the fee for their participation so we can get a coin too!!

    (Or trades anyone???)

Four of us are planning on going. (Stressing the word planning) If we are allowed 4 coins as a team, you can have one of ours. It may cost you a favor in the future though! 😉

Just confirmed our reservations, so we are good to go. I even booked an extra chair for the phantom Uncle Fun that might show up and one for the one that will be late. Looking forward to seeing fellow cachers again and meeting new ones.

    Thanks

Its on our calendar, if nothing else just to say we got 30 caches in one day. SANC is a great area to hike around. It should be fun, as long as its not so crowded, that we are following a line of people from one to the next.

As Greendale4x4 can verify, we are flexible with the agenda. Last time we picked the caches while at the eatery. I threw these out there as suggestions; to appear to be more organized. Our only goal is to just to get out, have pizza and chat with fellow cachers.

Greendale4x4, we will be glad to be caching with you again, abcdmCachers thinks he can make it too.

Is the fee for park entrance, or for “playing along”? Couldn’t we use those free passes we’ve gotten from the Fox 6 geocaches?… ❓

Well its normally $4 for non memeber adult and $2 for nm kids. So maybe the fee is for both entrance and for playing. The receptionist was not sure if we could use the park passes from the caches as payment for this event. I am going to call a person I know that works there to see if they can find out for me.

If you get your coordiantes when your scouting the area, I am sure an email to a kindly reviewer might be able to provide you an answer whether or not its a “legal” spot.
