When I logged into the site just now, I could see that I was logged in without going to another page. Baby steps.
I kind of liked how right after my first appearance, he cut to a shot of a duck on the water.
I thought the same thing!

Thanks, Mister GT!
Spotted the West Salem TV stars on the tube.
Here’s the link: http://fox11online.com/2015/02/06/ice-volcanoes-in-door-county/ (C&P… I can’t get the link to link.)
Mr. S said he saw this just now on Channel 7 out of Wausau, too. They must have picked up the feed.
Just got a call from Birdin’ that she and Trekkin’ should be on the 5:00 news program on Fox 11 out of Green Bay, if you get that station. I think you can watch live online, too. Anyway, they were in Whitefish Dunes SP where an ice volcano has formed offshore. The station was there to do a story on the ice volcano, and they were interviewed. Birdin’ told me that they did not talk about geocaching or the WGA cache in the park… but if the station chooses to put it in, they said that they had made the trip to the Gren Bay area to pick up Trekkin’s new banjo! 😆
I just checked the online stuff for Fox 11, and while they have photos and a video clip of the ice volcano, the finished piece isn’t on there yet, but I imagine it will be after it airs this evening… 5:00, maybe repeated on the other news programs. (I think Fox 11 is the station that visited ZB’s snow fort last year.)
I love the variety of challenge caches that we have come across, but the ones I am talking about are the major ones, the ones you can mention to almost any cacher anywhere and they will know what you mean. These are ones that are very simple in the way of requirement: fill a grid, find every one, find everything on a list… We really enjoyed looking for oddities and rustic roads, but we had to refer to the cache pages frequently to see what we needed to do. We did the national parks bingo and still need to check out our IAT counties progress. However, these and similar challenge caches were placed with a final in mind, not just… do it.
You know when you have filled your calendar grid, or when you have found all the virtuals in Wisconsin, or when you have a streak of so many days with finds, or when you have reached 1000 finds. These, along with other ones I mentioned, are challenges that are basically universal. Is it enough for you to say, “I accomplished that challenge,” or do you need to find a “final” somewhere to validate what you did?
He said, “well, you’re done moving now”. It is great having a boss that wants you to stay around.

Take it easy, Noonan. The weekend is nigh.
Interesting…. I just now tried to log in with Google Chrome, and that didn’t work, no matter what I did. Then I logged in again with my outdated Safari, and other than not seeing that I had logged in initially, I am logged in.
Sometimes if I go into something off of the home page, then it will reveal I am logged in.
Oh, I have that problem. Almost always when I log in, it doesn’t show that I’m logged in. I just go to another page right away, and there I am! Sometimes I don’t show as logged in for other things, but when I try to see something, I can.
We were gone for about five hours. Not even warm enough to do any caching while we were out and about. That wind is wicked!
The bots are no longer bots and they no longer have names.
Now that’s some decent-lookin’ craphas coming down! Big fat flakes drifting around… none of that fine stuff that stung like arrows and blew all over the place a couple of days ago. (Check back with me later after any snow removal to see how I feel about the snow we received…)
Jim and/or others shouldn’t feel the need to put out new caches for the LCG event, since I don’t recall this ever being done for past events. If anyone chooses to do so, fine, but most people plan their routes to do some caching before and after the event with the caches that are already in place near the event or on the way to or from the venue.
I think Gwyn and Bill were trying to get ideas of just how long some of the caches in the marsh would take to do so that they could plan accordingly. They aren’t exactly P&Gs! 😯 😉
Amita, I was having trouble over the weekend with not all of the menu options showing up or responding to me, but I usually attribute any problems I have to my browser that can no longer be updated. However, when I used another browser, there was still some goofy stuff for a while. Maybe it’s just lasting longer for you. Reloading or refreshing sometimes helps, switching browsers sometimes helps, logging out and logging back in sometimes helps… and paying The Squirrel with nuts or compliments sometimes helps. Just keep posting… You’ll find us and we’ll find you!
