Writing colon-13-colon just now sent me through the wormhole to page 1… and didn’t record my post. It’s a good thing the TST does the counting for us now. 😉
*yawn*
I think CJ needs more trips to the starry place. 😯
Kittens, vanilla, and pie.
I missed the pie question, unless that is in honor of today being National Pie Day.
Kittens, chocolate, and pie/cake/cookies/ice cream/candy/etc.
I am going to need a huge snow storm (but no power outages) to keep me inside so that I can get caught up on all of BBG’s zoo critters jigsaw puzzles. I’m still waiting for the one of the rhinos, though. 😉
To see what the biome badges look like, go to the menu bar at the top of any page, go to WGA modules, in that go to WGA State Parks Series, and from that drop-down, go to State Parks biomes. If you have completed any of the biomes, the badge should show up on your WGA profile.
I guess that’s why Oconto earned the Bird City designation:)
…. to go along with the “Birthplace of Modern Civilization” tile. 😉
I don’t think we cat people are going to fare well in that puppies-kitties question for the candidates. 😕 We could always count on TBC… and J&L… but other than that….
Let’s go with chocolate or vanilla next year. 😉
I don’t have a greyhounder avatar, but that’s the one I remember. I want to say that somewhere there was an outline of a greyhound with the GC colors, but I’m not sure where I saw it if there ever was one like that.
We did NOT appreciate this squirrel we had at our house a few years ago:

I spent way too much time watching those squirrel videos! 😯 I can tell you one thing, though. Squirrels do NOT hibernate! (That’s what was mentioned in the intro paragraph.) We see them all the time right now, and they are always at our bird feeders. There is one squirrel that has a regular route from the peanut feeder two doors to our north, along the front sidewalk, then into the yard to our south. We watched him one fall day while we were out there doing yard work. Yesterday, we didn’t bother to sweep off the dusting of snow we had, and there was a trail on the sidewalk all along the front of our house… but then it led to the yard to our south. He’s still at it!
A secret revealed: five years ago this summer, my wife and I played hooky and went to State Fair sans children. We were both concerned we would be found out. We ran into John and Sharon at the Budweiser Pavilion. We had a beer together, watched an Elvis impersonator, and laughed. My wife begged them not to post anything online. VG posted here that he had so much fun watching Elvis and being at State Fair, but did not mention us. A fun man, he was.
Furfool shared the following memory of VG with me tonight in a private book of faces message. I don’t think he would mind me sharing it. For the longest time the two had never met in person, even though both were from Milwaukee. I think we all were at the WGA picnic at Lake Wissota in 2009 when we ended up putting faces to names. Here’s what furfool had to say about their last meeting:
“The last time I saw him was last September at Oktoberfest. He came into the dance hall and was standing right next to me. I kept looking at him wondering how long it will take him to look down and see me. I bet it was close to 5 minutes. When he did look down, he got this huge smile on his face. He knew right away who I was even though we hadn’t seen one another In a long time. We had a nice chat for a while before returning to our respective company. You could always count on him to lighten a mood.”
I also really do not like funerals.
I cry way too much, the blubbery stuff. I was that way watching Lassie episodes, too.
I have requested that I do not have one. Hannah has the 15 numbers and 2 letters where to dump me after I am gone.
Same here, BBG, except Hannah isn’t involved… The odds are better that you will be able to look for me than I you.
I never saw VG with his gun (and I doubt if it looked like this one), but that image of Kermit with the hat and the shades and the BIG smile is classic VG.
Did you go to VG’s visitation, BBG? I’ve been thinking about him a lot today.
