I like it when people write one really good log that covers all of their trip and then then cut and paste it into all of the caches found that day.
I don’t care for those, especially if they show up on more than one of our hides. We don’t really need to know what your whole trip was, just the little slice of it that was when you found our cache and what your experience was there.
If you want to mention the trip in all the logs, just keep it short, like: “Found this cache as one of many we did while we were visiting the Dells area with family.” That way we know why you were in the area but we don’t have to read … It was so-and-so’s fifth birthday and the family really enjoyed their three days at Kalahari; had lots of laughs, lots of fun, found lots of caches. This one was #14 out of the 36 we found. TFTC
Bleah. ๐
“Found this cache as one of many we did while we were visiting the Dells area with family. We did this one on our second morning there before the kids got up. Had a nice walk in the woods to GZ. Saw a deer on our way back to the car. Cache is in good shape. Thanks for placing it for us to find, sandlanders!”
^^^ Now that wasn’t too hard…
S-A! T-U-R! D-A-Y!…NIGHT!
Plows just went by. Had maybe an inch of craphas overnight. It’s taking a break for now, then 1-3″ later today/overnight. Good-bye, brown ground.
Makes the appeal of mass logging seem really tempting, doesnโt it?
No. Three more finds today, logged one. Still have 13 to log from Christmas Day. I’ll get around to it. COs deserve decent logs, even if they are crappy caches (which these weren’t). Our logs and the photos added to them also let us relive each experience when we check back on our finds every so often.
Writing logs gives me something to do online, since there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of driveling for me these days… ๐
Maybe things will pick up when the craphas comes.

Oh, maaaaaan!!!! Mint Chip FOTD at the blue roof place closest to the summer home. How did I miss that one??? Too late for a road trip now. ๐
Six GoogleBots and five BingBots checking things out here right now.
Maybe Google thinks it takes that many bots (or more) to penetrate the exceptional Cat and Squirrel defenses set up for the WGA website…
My money was on one of the bots.
Kind of like that Y2K thing, eh?
Felt like a wimp when I decided not to go out caching today, then my son walked into the house. I said, โI didnโt hear your car.โ He said, โThatโs because I snowshoed here.โ
There is absolutely no snow on the ground in Sandland, although that is expected to change soon.
BC, writing checks is sooooooo 2014! (unless you write one out to me) Online banking is the way to go.
Dang! It worked! Now I’ll have to stay up longer.
Well, this is the third time I am trying to post #13. If it doesn’t work this time, I am going to bed.
Working on a foggy tree โฆ
I suppose I should start working on that one. ๐
BTW, if there are thread stealers who are staying home tonight, this place is party central. I’m up for some good back-and-forth, but don’t expect me to stay up till midnight.
Now… Off to check out that foggy tree.
The Cat is over in England? We have six more hours to go here!
