In the spirit of âout with the old and in with the newâ (as in the drivel threads), Becky and I have decided that we wonât be having a blue cupcake event to celebrate our co-birthday this year. That would be the âout with the oldâ, but we havenât decided what, if anything, will be the âin with the newâ. You are now free to go about your holiday without wondering about when this event will be held. Feel free to eat a blue-frosted cupcake on December 27 in my âhonorâ and BCâs âhonourâ and to sing us âHappy Birthdayâ in the forums, though.
Bumping this up from page 6, in case you missed it all those posts ago…
Time to go place my birthday present micro and another one along the trail
So does this mean that you just had a birthday, Noonan? And we missed singing HB2U in the drivel? Or are you just placing a cache called “Birthday Present”?
No bots! No guests! The Cat and The Squirrel are winning!
The stuff we are noticing here is minor, and we notice it because we are here a lot, but we mention it just because we notice it… but we can live with it. If there’s any big stuff that needs work, that should get first priority.
I wonder how new visitors to the site like navigating around it. The links on our cache pages send them here if they click. The big thing for me at first was the slowness, but that seems to be OK now, at least on my DSL. And did the font size in the forums get bigger or am I just getting used to it?
So this may or may not be the FTP . . . đ
. . . or did “admin” get it?
Hmmmm… Different configurations of posts depending how one is logged in. I always suspected that those in charge of the WGA operate on a different level than the hoi polloi. It must go along with the power to delete. đ
Unless there is another cache that I am unaware of, you are problem talking about our cache near Hayward called “Where is the Cache, Prey Tell?” GC3F7QV
Did you say “y’all”, too, Noonan?
Now… How do we get around that “quote in a quote” extra gobbledygook that is showing in the post above?

It looks like a FTP to me!Ditto. Havenât figured it out yet. Somewhere around page 10 we lost a post⊠I âthinkâ itâs just an admin/moderator thing, so not too worried about it.
You mean we are seeing the page differently???? I see Becca’s post at the bottom of the previous page and mine on the top of this one. Good thing we aren;t keeping track of FTPs anymore, since we’re not all on the same page. đ
BTW, no problems getting in today… once I remembered to use my new password.
:ftp:?
Nope. This one is the FTP …
Ok, this is getting frustrating. Iâve been able to connect all day without any issues.
Could it be my Mac? The Squirrel prefers nuts to fruit.
The problem with those viewmasters is they donât have enough new stuff. Youâre stuck with slides from the 1960s.
My grandma was on a viewmaster reel. It was from the Ozarks in the late Sixties, and she had white hair and a red sweater, and she was sitting on a rock wall at a viewpoint. I think my uncle was with her. He had on bright blue socks and had his foot on that wall. The viewmaster people liked all the spots of color, so they posed that scene when they saw them there.
I think my sister has all the old viewmaster stuff. That reel was the newest in the batch. The ones for the nursery rhymes and the fairy tales were really creepy, especially in that 3D effect.
…then it has to be a caching issue.
A caching issue??? Isn’t this website suppose to be about… caching? đ
(Yeah, I know what you mean.)Does anyone have a DVR without a subscription service? What model and how do you like it. Thinking of cutting the cord with cable. We just donât watch TV enough.
We still use a VCR… đ
