10 million????? Yikes! I see that some of the bots have names now, but so far I haven’t noticed any “odd” advertising in the forums. (So much for the early morning entertainment from the old days. πŸ˜‰ )

Uh-oh. No more lurking… unless your name is “guest”.

It’s weirdness, but no big issue. We just have to make a post on the previous page that will show up on the current page to show that we are logged in on the current page. That just means we’ll have to make more posts… 😈

In case you were wondering, we won’t hit new post #1000 till the middle of page 67.

OK, now I can post from page 28.

BBG, we saw Kris Kringle last night, too. Ever since a community group bought the old theater building here in town a few years ago, they have put on a live radio play in December. This year was “Miracle on 34th Street”. The “actors” all dress in 1940s clothes (the local theater was built in 1946), and they read their script parts into microphones. There are sound effects that we can watch them make, and there are signs for “ON AIR” and “APPLAUSE”. They have girls reading boys’ parts, low-voiced women and boys reading mens’ parts, and the players who aren’t reading at the time sit on the stage and “chat” with each other, or file their nails, or have a nip or two… all sorts of action to watch. Oh, and there are commercials, too, and Christmas carols during intermissions and at the end of the radio play.

And the Kris Kringle we saw had no beard and was wearing a shirt, pants, and suspenders… no red suit… but he had the right voice for the part.

Interesting…. I am logged in on every page that I have checked so far today, except for page 28 of the drivel. I can’t post from there (it says I’m not logged in), but I can post from here (page 27).

What I was going to comment on was the test cache rescue post, which was listed for “Nowhere”, but there actually is a cache with GC12345 and that is in California.

I have been having fun exploring the new website. Too bad it’s nice enough to be outside today, and we still have Christmas lights to put up later today. Lots of other things to get done, too.

And sandlanders is wondering why this FTP sat around for almost an hour… πŸ™„

Was there supposed to be an overall badge?

It’s the one that is now on the home page post about the WGA SP series… the reddish one with the WGA and DNR logos on it.

I love the artwork and what it adds to the profile. It appears the Lake Superior – Northwoods badge doesn’t load right in the profile or when you click on it from the biomes page.

I was waiting for you to make your way to the new website, Rick! πŸ˜€ Looks like that overall completion badge needs to make its way to your profile in addition to the Northwoods one.

And although you have found all the WGA SP caches, I know you won’t be taking the winter off. Enjoy your time outdoors!

Looks like trackables disappearing isn’t a new phenomenon, nor is disillusionment with that part of the game.
At least the TB TBC was still in play up till last year…

Hey! If you type TBC here, it shows up as a hyperlink to a travel bug… and it’s not one of The Cat’s! Weird.

Boy, I slept late this morning.

So did J&L’s cat… but another cat took over. πŸ˜‰

an original FTP, as opposed to the new one that will be post #7

I can’t believe that TBC is implying that we need to step up our posting frequency… πŸ™„ 😈

…but it is fun to see how many I have yet to do in each of the biomes.

That’s the idea of the series: do as many or as few as you want. Complete everything in one or two biomes that won’t take you too far from home, or travel all over the state to see what is out there. Set yourself a goal of finding those last one or two WGA caches in a certain region to earn some electronic art, or try to get a sampling in all of the regions. See where your travels take you, then see what state parks are nearby. Learn something about the different parts of the state. Explore and enjoy Wisconsin’s state parks!

Side note: We just picked up our 2015 SP stickers today at the DNR service center in Wisconsin Rapids. Check for the counter hours of a center near you, or stop in the office of any nearby state park when they are open to pick up your year-long passport to fun. ($25 for the whole year to all the state parks, $12.50 for a second car registered at the same home address. $10 for 65-years or older.)

I wonder if I still have more posts than finds. That would not yet be the case if my count started over with the new website. I don’t know if there is a way to see how many posts one has made, but if not… 😈
