CRAPHAS!!!
I neglected to thank the cachers who stepped up to organize and run the LCG portion of this past weekend’s event.
And, as usual, big thanks to Team Deejay for the LCG lists and maps throughout the year and to Labrat and anyone else who checks over and approves the many LCG submissions and points.
And adding a #13 to the mix.
Hoping to get to the next page before Mr. GT gets out of Froedtert Hospital! 🙄
Bragging rights and checking on quite a few lonely caches are your rewards, and the thanks for all the hard work you and your fellow LCG players did to keep the quality of caches in Wisconsin high are your recognition.
Congrats on achieving the bronze for 2016, and thank you for your dedication to Wisconsin geocaching.
Still eleven more posts left on this palindrome page. Get ’em while they’re hot!
What did I miss in your instructions?
Leave out the parentheses (my bad): type a colon, type the word like, type a colon
:like:
Next post is #13…
Next page is a palindrome page…
See how fast a page can move along when one posts a bunch of drivel? 😉
:like: (colon, like, colon)
… but by itself, it goes through the wormhole.
And speaking of wormholes, amita17, type the FTP or #13 or whatever, but add something to it, post, then go back and edit out the extra stuff. As long as it’s wording that hasn’t been used in a post exactly, then the wormhole doesn’t come into play.
Has anyone looked into this in recent months? BigJim60 still shows at 7 finds, and WalkingAdventure still shows 37. As for us, we completed the series in October, and even with our late logging, we are still stuck where we were for most of 2016.
Also, the electronic art completion badges that should show up on one’s profile as the biome finds are completed are not updating. This was the main “prize” for working on the WGASPS caches that the committee decided upon, and now, as far as I know, cachers aren’t receiving any new ones of these on their WGA profiles.
Could all of this be another casualty of the changes in the main Geocaching website, the changes that doomed the recent logs updates last spring? If so, would it be possible that some workaround could be developed in house so that WGA members can see their WGASPS achievements? (The FTP Stats updates quite quickly, and that’s just for a bunch of drivel… 😉 )
I have no skills in website development or maintenance, and I really appreciate the work of those who do, so I don’t know how much of a problem this is to fix or change. I yield to those with the skills and know-how, and I thank you advance for anything that can be done in this matter.
OK, that’s it from me for another few weeks.
(Hey! Quiet up there in the peanut gallery! 😡 )
(Peanut Gallery? Sounds like a good name for a cache… 😉 )
My observations on the drivel after a six-week posting hiatus:
1. Crappy New Year to Birdin’. 😡
2. Aloha to Bartrod! (Looks like you may have missed that firehose lava stream on the Big Island… 🙁 )
3. Sevencards and MASKinWI are not drivel newbies, with both scoring numerous FTPs in the old drivel… 23 and 7 respectively, although it’s been a while for each… as in years. 😉
4. What are the names of the new kitties, jar42?
5. BigJim, we only did 100 miles of the IAT, not the whole 1000+… or were you saying that tongue-in-cheek?
6. Our driveway and sidewalk are clear for the third time in the past month. No ice, no snow, no wet of any kind… for now.
7. We were happy to see a Packers-free Super Bowl. Now if we can only watch a Brady-free game next year.
8. Nice to see some new posters, returning posters, and regular posters in the drivel, but there was far too much cache talk in the 12 sandlanders-free pages. More drivel! And more pages! Only twelve? Really? We used to go thorough that many in a day or two! (People have lives now, I guess.)
9. Eleven finds last month, six so far this month. That means I have a few more posts to make before it becomes more posts than finds again.
10. Jar42, you are welcome to disappear at our place for twenty-eight days, but if you are staying in our guest suite upstairs, you will have to organize the thirteen years of photographs that are in taking up space in boxes there. Or maybe you would rather go out early in that “Hidden” game instead… But Sandland IS in the middle of nowhere…
HH, you interrupted my FTP experiment, so I ended up getting your FTP! 😈 😆
BTW, the experiment did work. 😀
