Sorry…but I liked the old site better.

We’re just used to the old site. After some time on the new one and the chance to work out all the glitches, we will be able to notice all sorts of new things to explore on the new site.

I had to redo mine. Luckily, I was able to find it somewhere on my messy desktop. Go into your account and at the bottom is where to change your avatar. If you don’t have access to yours anywhere, Hack, I have it around here somewhere.

Hmmmm… The quoted stuff is huge, but the original posts are in a teeny-tiny font size. Something to play with when I get back.

Nice work on the first FTP, Mr. GT, but now is the perfect time to get yourself an avatar!

Getting in on Page #2. Then we’re heading out…

              Here's to The Squirrel!

The Squirrel may be the front “man”, but we all know that The Cat is the one who did most of the work. Thanks, TBC!

I need about 500 more posts to get to 20,000. If I were ZB, I would do some fast burnin’! 😈 πŸ˜†

Hmmm… The Cat mentioned something in the drivel about an hour and a half. This could take a while. 10:30-ish?

I will reply in this thread as I did in the other: There may be quite a few of these D/T grid challenges out there, but before you go for any of them, make sure that you have met the challenge EXACTLY as it is listed on the cache page for each. Some may have other requirements in addition to just getting the 81 different D/T combinations.

If you want a real challenge, check out the original “fizzy” challenge in Wisconsin placed over six years ago by Trekkin’ and Birdin’. GC1GVN6 Back then, you had to seek out the D/T combinations you were lacking… no D/T power trails like there are now that practically hand you your set of 81 on a platter. And to keep the original Wisconsin challenge pure, T&B put a placement date requirement that all of your 81 qualifying caches must have been placed before the publish date of their challenge cache (no new caches placed “just” to meet a certain D/T combination)… which means that when you are checking on your D/T grid, you must have at least one find in each cell of a cache that was placed on or before October 3, 2008. There is no restriction as to when you made your finds, just when the caches were placed. The COs also require a sampling of the major cache types to be in your grid somewhere, too. Only 22 cachers have met this tough challenge in all this time.

Trekkin’ anad Birdin’ also “walk the walk”, having accomplished the well-rounded feat themselves not once, not twice, but… ??? At least 25 times, I think. (Please enlighten us with a number here, T&B.) As for us, we still have some of the tougher combinations to become well-rounded at all, but at one point we did check, and only a few of our filled grid cells did NOT have qualifiers for “The “Cheesy” Well Rounded Cacher” challenge. But we’re not getting any younger, so we’ll just stick to our lofty goal of making one find (that is FIND, not FTF) per month and leave it at that. πŸ˜‰

Ah, but the question is… Have any of those cachers held the top spot in any country? You once were #1 in South Korea, and now you are in the top spot for Bahrain, RJ. πŸ˜‰

I like how you also hold events wherever you go. πŸ™‚

Many of those well-rounded, fizzy, blackout challenges have specific rules beyond just filling your D/T grid of 81 slots. Check closely to see if you have actually met the requirements for the caches you plan to go for.

We were just talking today about how we were celebrating your ten years of caching on this date last year with you two! And we’ve known you for over half of those years. Best find we’ve made in all of our years of caching… two good friends. Congrats on the newest milestone, Gram and Gramps!
