I think I found the secret to avoiding the wormhole when making certain posts. I was wondering how Hack1of2 was able to make a bunch of simple posts with the #13 smiley. Has anyone tried avoiding the wormhole for the FTP?
:13:
Hey, Noonan! Happy New Year! We were wondering how things were going out there in Oregon. Visiting your place was one of the highlights of our trip out west this past summer.
And your post was #13, and this one is the LTP. I’ll wait a bit to see if anyone goes for the next FTP …
No. Out of practice, I guess. But I’ll take the honor! 😈
That depends on the store and the machine and/or the company. I know I have seen cash ones, but we usually use a card.
The self-checkout, Birdin’. Those machines don’t know who is swiping items at them, so they beep. Then the associate comes to see what the beep was about. The human checkers don’t bother to ask; they just hit the button to keep on checking out. *sigh*
Can’t go through the self-checkout at Walmart with cough medicine without the machine alerting an associate, who has to check to see if you are old enough to buy it. She didn’t ask to see my ID… 🙁
Just saved myself a trip to the doc, thanks to Birdin’. My cough turned into a cold, and I have been on Mucinex DM for a couple of days now. No sinus infection, so I don’t need the antibiotics. Can’t taste much since the cold developed, though, but since the Christmas candy is gone now, all is well. My other recommendation for recovery is lying in bed reading… anything.
Birdin’ must really be sick if she let this FTP go by…
Thanks for all the congrats, folks! This will definitely be a “more posts than finds” month, but we’re hoping to get out a bit more in 2017. We wander where our whims take us, and sometimes there are neat caches to find there or along the way.
I thought of you today, Mrs. SL. Culvers in Marshfield had Mint Chip. I had a dish for you.
Mint Chip at Middleton Culvers tomorrow. Our plans have us heading that way…
You can always celebrate :13:
Merry Christmas (observed)
As in PO closed, banks closed, library closed, government offices closed. Stores are open, though, but I’m staying away from them for a few days.
Blue Frosted Treats?
I will have to see what Mr. S comes home from the store with. He’s in charge of the treats tomorrow.
