Thanks for the insight into the early days, DeeJay. Interesting piece of info. I kind of suspected that geocaching.com did some trolling and/or co-opting to build their base before people got around to discovering the site.
Orignal cache names back then: Geocache

Yes, but who really HID the cache?
I believe there is only one person who may know the answer to that, and it wouldn’t be me. 😉
Andy Hill is the name on the cache page. This can be anything anyone wants it to be. iryshe is the name of the cache owner of the cache page according to geocachign.com. This is the person who has access to the cache page and anything that can be done with it.
I could write “huffinpuffin2” on the cache page as the cache owner of a cache I placed, but clicking on that will send you sandlanders’ profile page, not huffinpuffin2’s.

There’s your problem. 🙂
Ok, that wasn’t helpful.
I could add “Get a Mac”, but I don’t think that was what TBC had in mind.I have never had that problem, but just to be sure, I set up a new cache page just now. It worked for me. I did see that there is the option of using the “old” version of writing up a cache, so maybe you could use that. I don’t see a big advantage to using the newer set-up , and if it’s giving you trouble, use the old one.
It would be nice to know why this is happening when you try the new format, though. It’s not like you don’t know what you’re doing after all of your hides! Maybe others can chime in here.
Congrats on the 10,000 finds! Nice birthday present to yourself.

Congrats on the big success today!
Forget the LCG points… I want to know how many calories they worked off going to all of those out of the way places!

Went to load up with salad, spied the fishies, and came back with a mountain of the slippery bits. Herring and beers would make a good Game Day spread.
Are you saying that as people or as puffins?
So did you have any plans yourself for Super Bowl food, HCH? Does Coops deliver?
I think our favorite meal was when we did tacos. Nothing fancy. Beer is good. The main forum page shows Topics and Posts. I saw 12,999 in Posts just sitting there for a while, and I couldn’t take it any longer. And I could have chosen any topic in the Announcements forum to post in, but I chose this one because I think the map function is cool.
Hey, if bots can dredge up ten-year-old topics, I can revive this one after a few days to draw more attention to it. 😉
I think the map function is pretty spiffy, and I keep checking it to see if any spots are filling in.
And I don’t have anything else to add. Just making post #13,000 in the Announcements forum. 😉
Congratulations on the 1500 finds, Becca!
