From when we signed up for a GC account on September 1, 2007 (and I started lurking):

*** There are 451180 active caches worldwide.
*** In the last 7 days, there have been 323307 new logs written by 46317 account holders.

From the day we found our first cache and wrote our first log on October 17, 2007:

*** There are 473064 active caches worldwide.
*** In the last 7 days, there have been 305727 new logs written by 45041 account holders.

I remember when GC clicked over to 500,000 caches not long after we started geocaching.
Averith, it looks like you are one geoyear older than we are!

I have found that condensation is a problem in PVC pipe caches. Never found actual water, but lots of damp stuff inside.

Yeah, I saw that on GSAK, HP2, but it was a recommendation from a fellow Mac user that got me to use MacCaching. Hey, we recently went paperless, so we’re used to doing things the old-fashioned way. And like another “Mac” (MacGyver), we Mac people can find ways to make things fit our needs.

True. I cannot use GSAK on my Mac. I use MacCaching for organizing, etc., but does nowhere near what I hear GSAK can do. There’s probably some parallel thing that some people use to access GSAK, but I am not that tech-savvy.

Thanks, everyone! We weren’t sure if we would be getting the milestone in Alaska or not, but when all was said and done with the count, we ended up a couple short. That’s fine with us, because we love Wisconsin caches for milestones! There are so many good ones right here at home!

Some ECs are lame. Yours are super, Peach! Guess the trend is for P&Gs in ECs now, too.

Congrats on the 600 finds, frmr!

(And congrats on the 1200 finds to your modest partner in crime, lone_gunman…)

What a “weird” cache for a milestone! 😉 We’ve driven by that eyeball a couple of times, but haven’t stopped yet. Getting close, though. It’s fun finding the caches to meet this challenge, and it looks like you had great fun at the final location, too, JBase (and Ash). Congrats on the 2000 finds!
