This is our first year of five caching that we have been able to go more than a week into December without knee-deep snow on the ground, and we took advantage of that. Not only was this our best December ever, numbers-wise, but it was our third best month overall of caching. We just like it that we’re not stuck inside as much, not being the winter outdoors enthusiasts that many of you are. Cache on!
Wow! And that’s only a 3/2? Looks like a great cache to do, and it has tons of “favorite” points. Good luck on the find, and have fun on your trip! We’ll be watching for your “Found It” log. 😉
Nice job on #2500, BBG! Great pics, great sign! Congrats!
(New hat for the elder pirate princess?)Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
Sarcasm is a double-edged sword. I enjoy it very much, but I have been in the position where my audience was not as appreciative of my attempts at what I thought was humorous. Therefore, I try to think about all the ways my words can be perceived before letting them loose on the world.
How do you know that jerrys dad’s post was dripping with sarcasm, gotta run? Do you know him and how he thinks? I doubt it, because you called him Jerry, which is not his name but his son’s. Have you had banter back and forth with him such as this before so that you knew he would take your remarks as sarcasm back at him? Again, I doubt it. It sounded very high-handed on your part, and I took offense at what you said and how you said it, and I wasn’t the object of your comment.
To not realize that your words may have had a very negative effect on someone only compounds your original lack of sensitivity.
Uncalled for, gotta run.
Nice job on find #2100, Jim! Congrats!
It’s an ever-changing banner, too. One version even has craphas!
Thanks, squirrel! :heidy:This link might give you some direction:

You might have to have the original Google map of the area rather than the GC one with all the caches on it. Just search for “Google maps” and put in Milwaukee or something close to find your specific spot.
Since the map that shows the geocaches (the one I’m assuming you’re looking at) is a Google map, I would think you would have to contact Google Maps. GC just uses what is given to them as far as the map goes.
Wait, wait, Mimi! We’re not done yet! More congrats to come.
Congratulations on your 600 finds! 😀
As thin as that ice looks, Muggle B is lucky he didn’t provide a BIG hole there! 😯
Thank you for all that you have done for the WGA, Jay, not only in your all-too-short stint on the board, but also in all the years that preceded that. We often forget that geocaching is just a game, no matter how seriously we take it. Life intervenes and takes precedence. Take care of yourself and everything that requires your attention. The WGA isn’t going anywhere, thanks to the work that you and others have done, so here’s hoping we see TDSG back here before too long.

I haven’t heard of any of the food banks on the sign up page….. Are any of them in the Wausau area?
I wish there were a few local food pantrys in our area that would be on the list.
I couldnt find any local to the Wis Rapids/ ST Point area so I selected “Central Wi CAC Adams food pantry”. You could choose any one you want. If I didnt choose the 1 I did I would have chosen the “Salvation Army Food Pantry” Sorry I can not be more of a help with this question.Since the Princeton Club is organizing this, and they are based in Madison with two clubs there and only one other club in the state (New Berlin), I would assume that the lack of local food pantries listed for the other parts of the state is because of where the Princeton Clubs are located. You can choose an organization such as Second Harvest or others that are not so regional, or just choose a group that appeals to you.
Becky, I did not see the Central WI CAC listing for Adams County when I signed up, so I tried to change it. This can be done, but I had to send an email to the guy in charge (this question is asked and answered on the web site). It appears to be no problem now, but once pounds of food are being earned for a group, it’s harder to switch. I’ll let you know how my attempt is handled.

The best part of geocaching is getting to be a “Wisconsin Traveler” and seeing everything this wonderful state has to offer.
