Always like the photos. Thanks for sharing, Kristi!
And it’s not your short legs, it’s the wide water.
Can’t believe you rode so many miles on a new bike right off the bat, Anne! Nice work on all the milestones! Big congrats!
Yeah, that finally eclipsed the 81 or whatever users on July 2, 2007. It’s all of those bots trying to mess up the web site. They don’t care if it’s a nice day outside or not. 😉
Yes, Wi-Hi, you ARE an all seasons cacher… and you are up for any adventure any time of the year in any place. Isn’t geocaching fun??? Congrats on the 2300 finds, Sherry!

Without the incentive of any cache rescue points and without any request on our part, jar42 took it upon himself to see if he could find this cache that he had previously found. And he did! And after only ten minutes or so of searching!
He moved the container to a better spot, sent us the coords and a description of the new hide, and after checking things out ourselves in the near future (a FTF on our own cache! 😉 ), we will be getting the cache up and running again.
Now there’s a good caching friend, and one who enjoys the game enough to help others when help is needed. Thanks, Jim! So nice to have you in our caching neighborhood! 😀
Welcome! Glad you made it here. Better late than never. 😉
Wasn’t that a great time at the picnic? A bit chilly, but lots of caching fun.
And there’s more to be had here and at other events. Jump in and enjoy the craziness! :biggrin:Nice job, Debby! Keep plugging away — your enthusiasm always gets you to where you want to be. Congrats on the 1000 finds! :smile2:
Great job on the 1000 finds!
GCNMJF — just south of Cornucopia, which is on Lake Superior — northern Bayfield County
Good luck on the milestone, wherever it may be!

I think in this case a “Verify Present” would be more appropriate for the “Cache Rescue” type. The finder would get the points for the cache rescue, but the container would stay in place after it’s found (or be moved slightly to get it back in play).
That’s what I was thinking of doing if I submitted a cache rescue. If I had found it myself the other day, I was going to place the container somewhere else and redo the cache page. If I archived it, it was either let it be, or someone else could find it and do what they wanted with it. Right now the cache is in limbo while we mull over things.
That’s why I thought a cache rescue mission might work, Tom. Maybe if we made the D/T rating one that would be a “hole-filler” for some, then we might see some action. We’d love to have more visitors to our out-of-the-way caches, but that doesn’t seem to happen much here.
I’m even willing to “lead” people to the GZ area, but I can’t crawl around under downed trees and into small pockets looking for the container, as much as I want to do that.
Some of the downed tress are close to two feet in diameter. Huge white pines just snapped off.

A HCH container!!!!!8O One had better go rescue it like now!!!! Those things are priceless!!!! 😉
I know! That’s why I want it “rescued”. I know it survived having huge trees fall on it. I just need to get it out.

HCH container
Maybe have a rescue “event” there? 😉 Many hands make light work. Good-sized parking area, other caches close by to find, not too far for the pizza place to deliver…

That’s a great question. I have the chainsaws, a strong back, and enjoy a challenge. The bigger question is if a chainsaw is really allowed though?
You’d have to check with the DNR on the chain saw, CJ. It’s their property. The area had just been logged last fall. That mess at GZ is a pile of pick-up sticks, though. Move one, they all come crashing down.
