        Living dangerously there, T&B? 😉

        Previous New Year’s Eves:

Used to play pinochle and eat pizza with another couple until their kids got too old. Then we met with a group of friends and played Trivial Pursuit and other board games like that until everyone was having too much trouble staying up until midnight. Then just the two of us would rent a couple of movies and have popcorn until we started falling asleep during the movies. Then it’s been, “Hey, it’s just another night.”

Oh, I forgot that at the start of 2000 and 2001 we had fires, outdoor candles, and sparklers at midnight for the new century, whichever year that officially was, which is why we did both. One of us ventured outside more than the other on those occasions. 🙄

This year New Year’s Eve will be spent practicing putting a 1 in the third spot of the year on dates.

Hey, all you swamp-stompers! Stay warm and dry, be safe, and have fun out there!

OPS, looking forward to seeing you get that DNF cleared up, especially since you knew what you had to do but just couldn’t get it done last time. Kick that cache’s butt this time!

Oh, yes. I second the invitation from Blue Cougar. Events are a lot of fun, and a good way to meet people. And you can come and go (or I should say “cache and go”) as you wish during the event. Or stay for the full two hours and share your caching tales.

And welcome to the WGA and the forums!

For December 27 for Wood and Portage Counties:

“Sunday: scattered snow showers or flurries. Highs 24 to 27. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40 percent.”

Sounds like a “go” for the event. Just dress for the cold and watch out on the less traveled roads if you’re doing some caching before/after the event. Nice and toasty inside. Probably lots of hot air, too! 😉

Is that like a few weeks back when I kept getting the red notice that I had a private message but there wasn’t a new one? Maybe your renewal went through but the notice didn’t kick off. Contact Jeremy to see if that’s the case. He got rid of the red notice for me.

Got the newest version of the DeLorme Gazetteer, but is that ever different! Doesn’t look as detailed as what I’m used to, but at least the centerfold is still intact, and we aren’t on those pages anymore! Have to see how it gets us to where we’re going when we go.

This is a sentiment I saw on a Christmas card a long, long time ago, and I always think of it on Christmas Eve as we turn out all the lights except for the ones on the Christmas tree:

“Let all hearts hush to hear the coming of Christmas.”

Not really, but it sounds good.

Over at the left there are four addresses/codes. I just copied and pasted the http one that says Direct Link, and it brings up the page image.
