From the WGA bylaws…
“Article II: Purposes The purposes of the WGA are to:
1. Work as closely as possible with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and other property management officials to protect the rights of individuals to geocache in the state of Wisconsin.
2. Provide an opportunity for geocachers in the State of Wisconsin to gather and socialize with one another.
3. Promote the “Cache In Trash Out” and “Leave No Trace” programs to help in the maintenance of parks and trail systems.
4. Educate Wisconsin geocachers about the responsible use of natural resources and educate non-geocachers about the sport of geocaching.”
Items #2 and #3 are well-taken care of, and #4 somewhat, but what about #1? Perhaps the WGA can work with the DOT to allow new caches in the state’s waysides and rest areas. As a start, maybe the WGA can offer to place and monitor those caches if the DOT has reservations.
Still remember how to sign our name to a log sheet. Did that ten times today. Last time was on January 31. Went to Madison to enjoy some craphas-free caching. Can’t wait till we can do that around here again.
Wonder what I should make Sunday?
A trip to my house with the leftover ribs!!!
I’m heading to Washington Island….& not even leaving the house. Discover Wisconsin has this as their destination on this week’s show.
Stavkirke! Not as grand as the palatial estate of Northwoods Tom… ( 😉 ) but pretty fancy in its own right.
We will be watching. Thanks for the heads-up, BC.Getting in on page 600. Last post on this page is new drivel post #9000. Just twelve more to go.
Linda and Dante are experts on 7 layer bars.
I do believe I sampled their handiwork at your end-of-summer event last August, J&L. Very delish!
… like bacon? 😉
We haven’t gone caching all month, so with this warmer weather coming up, we were thinking about where we might want to look for a few containers in the wild. In doing so, we researched FOTDs in various directions, and my eye was caught by a new description of what is in the Mint Chip FOTD. It seems that instead of the usual thin flakes of chocolate that make this particular MC so yummy, the blue roof place is now using pieces of Hershey bars. I’m all for Hershey bars, but I’m not so sure about this change. Might have to do some research…
^ ^ ^ 😆 ^ ^ ^
Sure hope Birdin’ has had enough time to cross over the river and through the woods to Mom and Dad’s house by now.
Today’s craphas was quite nice to clear as opposed to that evil craphas a couple of weeks ago.
Every single post goes through the wormhole for me… that is, the screen ends up back on Page One of the drivel each time I post. If I post something that has been worded exactly the same as any previous post, then it goes through the wormhole and disappears.
Maybe different browsers yield different results.
This was the link I shared on the book of faces. It is also from last year:
http://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=17870beaae55Craphas coming down in Sandland right now.
In case you found that puzzle too easy, here’s a tougher one I just made. This is the link for it, but it also shows up under my account there for anyone to see and try.
In case you missed this puzzle last year, or you want to try it again… by this link only:
