So, the raffle prizes . . . stuff like FFL tickets and memorabilia? 😉

We have our secret route planned, and no one will notice us until we suddenly appear out of nowhere. 😈

We’re out of town and I’m on my nieces’s computer, but I had to tell you what I ate yesterday–a chocolate covered peep. To die for! We were at a choclolate shop we always visit–they make their own chocolates, and that’s heavenly enough, but they had dipped peeps bunnies into chocolate to get a light coating all over. The owner of the shop said it cuts the sweetness and grittiness of the sugar, and it was like eating an exceptional marshmallow covered with exceptional milk chocolate with a hint of crunch in the sugar layer.

I did not attempt a chocolate covered Twinkie because I believe you can’t improve on perfection–leave the junk food”holiest of holies” alone–but that chocolate covered peep was simply divine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! That’s like us running into Michelle Obama on the trails. Guess you can handle any Madison politicians you may run into, cavecats!

That can happen! My glasses sat in a cache location for sixteen weeks this winter. Found ’em when the snow had melted–just need a general location to start your search.

Can’t wait to read the log on the APE adventure!

Now, when I first got into these forums, I didn’t know who anyone was, who was serious and who was joking, and what all the insider comments meant. Some of it I still don’t know, but in case you’re totally confused now, Sparki2003, just let me know what you need translated.

Most of all, DO NOT SEND ANYONE ANY MONEY!!!!!!!!

Actually here’s one from a couple of years ago…seriously I’m addicted.

The week before this picture I had pinched a nerve in my back while jumping across a creek.

A few days later, a tree branch slapped me, knocked me down and left me with a black eye and a smashed baby finger. Oh and then just before heading on vacation, I discovered that I had managed somehow to get a new batch of poison ivy.

Oh what lengths of pain we’ll go through for a find or two or 900.

Are you sure you’re not from Wisconsin?

Thought of a couple of other interesting caches north and west of Waunakee:

GCVHF2 — Colsac III (ride across the Wisconsin River and back a few times on the free ferry boat)

GC9E5E — Dr. Evermore and Lady Eleanor (whole area of unique metal sculptures and more)

Oh, and it costs to go into a Wisconsin state park–$10/day for out of state residents (per car), or $5 for one hour. Canadians? Well… 😉

Oldest active Wisconsin cache is GC3B1 northwest of Milwaukee. Not too close (less than two hours?), but easy enough to get to.

Bugs in June? YES! Could be mosquitoes if it’s been wet, wood ticks if you’re in the right environment (woods, long grass). Animals? No bears, just don’t stick your hand in any holes (see thread elsewhere in the General forum). City caching won’t be bad–just watch for the politicians!

We’ve been checking out the Hayward area caches in preparation for this event. We’re also deciding on a roundabout way to get there so that we can sneak in unnoticed (we don’t have passports or visas). Just glad it’s baseball season and not……..

So that’s how the WGA makes all its money…

Now don’t be scarin’ off any newbies!

We are applying for federal stimulus funds to help us to help us handle the cost of attending this event. If this were to be held later in the year, we doubt if we would be able to handle the exorbitant price of gas to drive all the way to the outer reaches of the state.

Do we get paid an appearance fee for gracing your event with our presence?

Any senior citizen discount on the fees?

                                Oh, and we use Mastercard, not Visa . . . 😆 😆 😆

Well, if you’re going to get picky and revisionist on us…

Who wants to sponsor sandlanders so we can go to this cheezy event on April 25?
