I’m still fairly new to this. I don’t think I have a cache page, and if I do, I don’t know how to find it. And if I did, I wouldn’t know how to add the logo to it. I voted no opinion, though, because I don’t think I have a cache page.
Don’t know if anyone answered amita17’s question personally, but a cache page is what the write-up is for each individual cache. It’s where cache placers can write what they want about a cache they have placed for others to find, and they may place photos and links on this page in addition to any description. You have no doubt read lots of cache pages when you have looked up caches to find.
Use of the WGA logo requires that html code be used, and that takes some getting used to. We did it by trial and error, but there is lots of help here, and it wasn’t too hard to do. Adding the logo was the easy part because all the coding is right there (on the Wiki page) to copy and paste.
So, if you have placed a cache, you have written up a cache page. Some people have included the logo, some have not. Clicking on the link on the cache page sends people to the WGA site, where they will hopefully find what they like there. 🙂

01/27/2009 at 8:59 pm in reply to: AstroD-Team Leaves the Galaxy for there 2700th cache find #1901008Congratulations on the milestone! Sounds like you had quite a busy January, but you must not feel the cold when the caches are coming. Looking forward to seeing your #3000.
Have you recovered from that burst of caching yet? Now take a break and then go for the next 100! Congratulations!
Con-quack-ulations, Duck505!
Let’s hope we don’t have to think up many more of these this winter. Four more days until February!
Same here, furfool. That’s why I started celebrating my half-birthday. No holiday hoop-de-do, and there’s plenty of good weather (and caching).
Care to have a piece of virtual cake with me now?
Whether you’re above them or below them, no matter where you are on the charts, if you’re caching in Wisconsin, you’re in pretty good company!
Congrats on all your accomplishments and on all of your hides!
Find a spot that won’t be easily found by passersby, kids goofing off, a dog chasing a ball, etc., but don’t make it too hard so that no cachers can find it!
List where to park unless that would be obvious upon arriving near the cache. It will save driving around a lot and possibly parking in a dangerous spot or having to cross private property for those who may just want to get as close to the cache as possible.
Think about what your cache site will look like in all seasons and in all conditions and at all times of day, etc. If you would be discouraged or uncomfortable looking for your cache, so will others.
Try to think of something unique about where you want to put a cache and mention it in your cache page so that others will take a look at their surroundings and appreciate them just as you do.
Ask for more help in the forums as mcuh as you want. We were all beginners at one time.

Well I was just trying to be friendly, I just learned last night that my only good friend in the Valley is divorcing his wife and moving back Europe.
Sounds like you’re in the right spot to find a whole lot of new friends in the Fox Valley. 😀
I think it’s officially logged now, since I saw the big 9 0 0, so we’ll give high fives and a big “congrats” to TBC!
Well, today is zoesbrother’s non-virtual half-birthday, so I guess we’ll bring him half of a cake, and since there is nothing at this picnic that he can legally drink except for a 12-pack of cola destined for other things, plus a can of pop with a crunchy wasp in it, we’ll bring along some lemonade, too.

We’re in a great part of the state, able to cache in any direction and within reach of everybody to come here. So I didn’t vote. Haven’t really done any caching in the “typical” SW or NW, but from some of what we’ve done in the NE and the SE, I can say we prefer rural caching to urban caching.
And I can say I prefer Wisconsin caching to anything else.
Welcome, ToyotaRyan!
But you are too polite and well-mannered for this knock-down, drag-out organization. Imagine, responding to everyone’s post! Your folks taught you well, or else you are just trying to rack up the posting numbers. 😉
Naw, we can use someone like you. Again, welcome!
There are the numbers, and then there are the numbers…My head is spinning from the statistical variations!
