We will second zuma’s words. It was a great event, Alex, with door prizes, too, for those of us waaayyyy down on the LCG list, and for anyone else who came. And all the trackables in attendance!!!
And I agree–more time to talk!!! So many people, so little time. And we never did get to hear those “Lonely” caching stories, but they are epics that will be told many a time at many an event and around many a campfire, so there will be time. We’re looking forward to getting to more events like this great one.
“There’s no place like home”–or a Hundred Dozen (I’ll make the call for you, TBC). Congrats on the milestone, and many more.

Congrats on the Hundred Dozen milestone! Didn’t look like you were too Lonely there yesterday.
Got this silver ammo can cache solved and ready to go for the next trip to Sellzup. Glad this one is accessible so that we all can find it and pay tribute the the nicest Rat we know. Congratulations on #1000, Pete, and keep those memorable finds and hides coming!
Sounds like you’ll remember that #200. Know you’ve been waiting to nab it. Congrats!

What about the old “lick your lips and press them against a metallic object outside when it’s below zero” test? Haven’t tried that one myself for about 45 years… any takers? 😯
Um…back in the days when I used to eat snow, I thought the frost build-up in the freezer compartment of our old fridge looked tasty, so I tried licking it. The compartment was metal and my sister just laughed at me until my mom poured warm water on my tounge to unstick it… 😳
For the month of January, we are currently tied with the Silver and Bronze medalists from all of 2008. Awesome! 8)
So far, so good on the science experiments. Unfortunately, we are still able to try them in this “lovely” weather. 🙁

I haven’t looked at this thread since the first few posts, but now, seeing the map, I wanna peice! 😀
What piece would you like I’m making the map as I type. And any more changes anyone would like from the maps before marc’s. 😆
Don’t you already have an unfinished task to do, ZB? And I don’t mean the snow fort.
Um, Marc…maybe you want to turn the drawing part back over to TBC. With your skills, I think you have a future with a telestrator in some NFL booth.
Don’t put Sandland farther south than Hwy. 82, and add the Petrified Forest along the I-39 corridor.
As long as they won’t be on the map anyway, can’t we satisfy T&B by not referring to “hills”? Certainly someone can come up with a play on “coulee”, like Cool Cacheland.
I hope that when it comes time to vote in the upcoming board election, people will think of all that is involved in running the WGA and in keeping things going forward. This election, as are most candidate elections, is more than a one-issue election, and if people are too focused on one specific thing, whether you are pro or con on this issue or any other, it comes down to faction vs. faction instead of what is good for the whole organization, and we lose sight of the big picture.
Think of everything every candidate for the Board has done or not done, what he/she can do for geocaching in Wisconsin, and don’t vote somebody in or out based on whether he/she is/was pro/con on this relatively minor logo issue.
“Can’t we all just get along?”
Personally, I will vote for candidates who can guarantee mild winters with minimal snow cover, just enough but not too much. 😉
Your park sticker has a lot of those “extras” on it that we don’t use. But that’s also worth it to those who use them. 🙂
How about that full moon tonight!!!

Google WGA……..Writers Guild of America
Funny, when we started geocaching in the fall of 2007, that’s when the writers’ strike was in the news a lot, and when I’d read the logs on area caches, a lot of them mentioned something about caching on the way to or from the WGA picnic. “Hey, aren’t they on strike?” But since I was looking at geocaching, I figured things out. 😉
