Oh, no! I always feel sorry for TBs stuck in cold caches for the winter, now I’ll be thinking of all the TB prisons. 😥 😥 😥
We check missions if we know of a TB or coin in a certain cache in advance, and if we can head them in the right direction, we might move them. Some TBs don’t “carry” their missions with them, so those we try to leave alone (unless we feel sorry for them).
If we plan on hitting a Lonely Cache that has TBs or coins now, we’ll check out the missions before we make the attempted find.
Rules 11a and 11e…not fair! 😉
Sandland sitll has snow and ice, but Sandland has sand. Sand on the streets and roads, sand on the sidewalks and driveways, sand on the intersections and parking lots, sand tracked into homes and businesses. Sand, sand, sand. Too bad we don’t have any of that black gold under all that sand or we would have the Sheikdom of Sand.
And come the winds of March, we will be the dust bowl of central Wisconsin, as we all get sandblasted.

1. We hit our 100th find on Pike Powder Hike
Having trouble with the zeroes, Hemi? You left out that same one on your log for the cache, too.
Claim your 1000 (now 1200).
Welcome to geocaching and the WGA, TheBalks!
Just keep trying to find the caches, and you’ll end up with more smilies. Learn from your DNFs and keep asking questions here. The blue frowny faces should go down with experience and with the melting of the snow (or sometimes not…).
And give that two-year-old lots of smooches and squeezes, Mom and Dad!
60 is the new 40. With age comes wisdom. Ever tried to solve a marc54140 puzzle?

I was happy to have a stranglehold on last place for most of the past month until sandlanders jumped in to claim a tie.
Hey, we worked hard for that tie! We even went for the DNF instead of the find just so we wouldn’t pass you up and leave you too dejected to compete in the LCG anymore!
But to stay on topic, congrats to JimandLinda on December! We even signed a non-Lonely cache log near Madison last week right after their name, and we started wondering if they were having to pack on points at the last minute to pull out the win. No need…and we’re watching the race shape up for January. Think we’ll go for last place again. 😉
Holidays are over. Back to routine.
Geochecker quite frequently doesn’t work for me, except the message I keep getting is “Incorrect”. 😉
Ouch, ouch, ouch! Continued healing, rogheff!
Let’s see . . . Maybe hit #500 by the end of the year? (at 245 now) 😀
Definitely meet some other cachers. 8)
Organize all our ideas for caches into a few more placements. 💡
Reach a middle ground with my spouse/caching partner on how much caching is too much (or not enough) caching. 😆
Keep our feet dry. 😉
Not lose anything more. 😳
OK . . . clean the house, lose weight, be a better person, yada, yada, yada. 🙄
Highlights of 2008? Practically every find! 🙂 (Don’t like those DNFs! 🙁 )
Just a dozen caches…100 times! Way to go, Hemi!
Thought we’d go for the good burgers at the bowling alley instead of pizza. Looking forward to being “Lonely”.
For some reason, we can’t put in a date on our cache pages, so they come out as 1901 (that is so last century!). We have the reviewers put the right dates on them, but if we ever go in to edit, the date is screwy again. Now we just go to the library to use their computers to reset any dates.
