Loved following the Route 66 road trip, and the return trip was entertaining also, with the stories about the same caches in Vegas as Zuma/Robin and the race to keep ahead of the weather in Wyoming.
Work must have seemed kind of tame today, but the home fires must have looked good to you.
Thanks for sharing with all of us.
The Asian lady beetles are back.
Thanks everyone. They went to Mirror Lake, but were grateful for all the information. Future hikes are planned for future visits.
Check the profile for geocachers named “Coloma Hotel”. They list themselves as owners. I would assume they are the ones mentioned on the cache page for GC1CCMG.
Maybe zuma #2 is a clone, so he can be in two places at once (takes care of that work thing), or maybe so he can get twice as many caches!
Checked that out, too, but couldn’t find the info I wanted. Thought maybe some of you have had experiences, pro or con.
My brother-in-law likes to hike, and we thought the trails would be nice if he wanted distance instead of terrain challenge. Didn’t know how the trail rules varied from the state parks.

I think the #1 spot is safe for awhile, unless he quites his job and becomes a “professional” geocacher. 😉
He’s not already?
It’s not about the numbers, but….how many did you actually get on this recent trip? Saw lots of logs from Nevada and Utah.
Congrats on all the finds, zuma!
Did an hour of leaf-peeping today–gorgeous in the sunshine!
Bummer, TE. 🙁
Looks like letterboxes have some things in common with regular geocaches.

When the territorial dispute is over, you can bring the bodies to the Land of Standing Stones. Always room for more in the WSQ’s!
😀 That’s a good one, JimandLinda!

What’s the Eauclaire/Chippewa Falls area? MontaZUMA?
😀 And so is that, GMO.
But the renagades where we are from refuse to fall under any kind of rule. We just go our own ways and do our own things, and you may visit or pass through or get your FTFs, and we will continue our pleasant existence in our middle of nowhere.
The colors were pretty good along the interstate between the Dells and Mauston today, even in the rain. Maples in the wet areas are the best right now. Oaks still pretty green.
VG, if you’re doing Ho-Chunk, try out the mian entrance to Devils Lake State Park south of Baraboo. If that has turned (usually is later, though), it’s a nice batch of maples down to the lake area, which also has good color in the specimen maples. Sky-High Orchard (SWof park) usually has good apples and PIE!
What a tease on this, dredging it up from the archives. My first thought was, “Huh?” Pretty soon it will be “100 squared” in caches.

We were really proud of that first milestone, and it was a real thrill to see it posted here. Tiny acorns grow into mighty oaks!
And Noah seems to have “mighty oaks” in his genes!
Cubs lose. Wait till next year.
Make sure they go with you on ALL of your winter searches, especially the ones with deep snow and subzero temps! And don’t let them use Trekkin’s special winter caching tool.

Wow, I hope that there is a little more room in the club, in case I make it one day.
We just figure that once people move to 2000 and beyond, they make more room for the rest of us in the 1000 club. Just like bugsmasher69 has left room for someone in the 900 club now. 😉
