We stay in Estes Park at the Comfort Inn on the east edge of town. All kinds of lodging there, so just check out the type you like. Plenty to do in the town when you get back in from a day in the park.
As for caches, lots of EarthCaches in the park, many at normal pullovers without rigorous hiking. You’ll most likely be stopping in those spots anyway. Did a few regular quick caches in Estes Park, but nothing spectacular.
Haven’t been since 2013, so things might be different now. Just pick out a few caches to do, but mainly enjoy being in the park itself.
Getting in on page #555.
Guess you have time to hit Senior Day at Shopko now, Birdin’. 😉
One or both of us has been sick every day so far this year. By the time we’re both feeling better it looks like the weather will be getting worse.
I just hope one of you is well enough to attend Shopko Senior Day tomorrow! It’s the highlight of the month!
Jar42, that was a saying my grandma always said. It’s been running through my head since yesterday’s posts on the subject, so I shared the saying here so that everyone else can have it running through their heads.
‘Twasn’t the cough that carried him off but the coffin they carried him off in.
New Years resolution – more reading books, less screen time.
And fewer FTPs. 😉
I guess I’m going to have to make a cardboard cutout to put in my chair when I leave.
Just train the cats to play on the keyboard when you leave… although who knows what they will be ordering online then.
Now, now, play nice kiddos. Only so much can get done while we are trying to do our “real jobs”.
We have been playing nice. No complaints, just observations.
But I am worried that Mister GT hasn’t been seen or heard from since 2:58…
😯
Mister GT’s post was on GMT. The rest of his posts were made back in the USA. I remember something like this happening to BBG a bit ago.
I am soooooo confused!!!
Does anyone miss “sometime ago”?
Mister GT, your post is not showing up as “sometime ago” but in the future!!! 😯 (2:58 p.m., to be exact)
This will really goof up the next FTP! Oh, no!
We all need to stop driveling for a while!(And this post of mine just showed up as … sometime ago.)
Off-topic: The time bandits goofed up the posting time for TN (3:03 p.m. hasn’t happened yet! 😯 ), so his is showing up out of order. If you reply to TN, make sure to use a quote or refer to his post… until after 3:03 p.m. 😉
Some people hear “micro” and think nanos and bison tubes. Those don’t belong in the woods, IMO. It sometimes depends on one’s version of “micro”. I have seen magnetic key cases called small, but in my book, they are micros. So are pill bottles (unless they are large enough to be called “small”) and matchstick holders. I call decon containers “small”, but they can’t hold much in the way of swag, and are definitely not ammo cans… but they are OK by me.
Birdin’, is there a small crack in your tree stand? Or maybe just a little water slopped over during one filling? All it takes is one time, and the wet rug would stay wet all season.
One time I spilled some syrup on our carpet, and even though I cleaned it up quite well (I thought), years later when we pulled up that carpet to replace it, that one little section was stuck tight to the floor beneath it.
