Hunkered down.
Does anyone else think it’s odd that both The Squirrel and TBC, who have not been seen driveling in ages, both posted so close together? Coincidence? Dual personality? Disruption in the space-time continuum?
Does it have anything to do with the big craphas event tomorrow? Will we all be posting like crazy? Will other drivelers from the past return for cameo appearances?
Stay tuned… As for me, I’m all birthday-ed out.
I think The Squirrel must have been on duty Christmas Eve when the site server got hacked… π
Is this why you are listed as “Participant” now, Mr. Squirrel??? Hmmmmm???
Is the Wheelhouse busy this time of the year?
Bill, it is a year-round restaurant, and locals go as well as those who enjoy winter sports… snowmobiling, cross-country skiing… Saturdays and Sundays they open at 11:00, and lots of people come to watch any games that may be on. Today there were people enjoying the holidays, too, and it was quite busy. Unfortunately, they only had the Panthers-Hawks game on for the early NFL game, so we didn’t get to watch the Bears there either (same game as we had at home). Sometimes they show more than one. If you go during the week, The Wheelhouse opens at 4:00.
Scoopers is closed until sometime in May. π
My favorite Sweet Treat photo memory courtesy of Wi-Hi…

Today we visited the summer home, picked up our 2016 park stickers, had a Wheelhouse pizza, successfully returned to the Wild Side, unsuccessfully searched for a WARCS cache that had evidently been archived after we left home this morning, heard the Bears win on the car radio, arrived home before dark and took down the half-lit outside Christmas lights before they froze in place from the craphas/whatever tomorrow, and we just finished huge pieces of birthday cake loaded with WHITE frosting!
I did not hear anyone singing to me as we drove through Wild Rose… π

Merry Christmas to one and all!
GCFI = ground fault circuit interrupter… those outlets by sinks and in the bathrooms that shut off if something plugged into them gets wet or the circuits are otherwise compromised. Need a few to meet code.
In addition to the four who got their pathtags at your event, WA, the definite finishers are geolivestrong, Trekkin’ and Birdin’, WI_pattymel, natloh2, and beccaday. You can get their tags sent out right now. There are a few others who are close, but I don’t know if they have completed the series yet or not.
You could also send out pathtags to finishers only if they fill out an application through the WGA website that they have finished the series. This will show their desire to get a pathtag (some do the caches just for fun or for the satisfaction of completion) and it will also get their mailing address if you don’t have that. Some of the names of people who appear to be working on the challenge are ones who I don’t recognize as being WGA members.
Is there supposed to be something fun to do with today’s Google doodle? I can’t get it to do anything, but it looks neat.
Just check out the most recent version of the list, see who might be close, then dig a bit deeper on each or send those cachers a PM to ask if they are done. Or ask here in the forums, then check them out if they respond “yes”. There can’t be too many to check on. As for us, we are still ten away, so don’t bother looking at our stats.
Can’t help on any macro for future use.
Hey, Trekkinβ won $75 in the historical society raffle!
And Birdin’ got post #8000! Go buy a lottery ticket now! π

palindrome post
FYI… Post #5 on the next page will be new drivel post #8000.
On the website here, the finders’ list hasn’t updated for quite a while, and neither have the WGASPS stats and electronic art on the individual profile pages. In fact, for you, WA, it shows that you have no WGASPS finds on your profile! π―
