Yeah, bartrod, if you left smileys this year they would be called graffiti and vandalism.

BigJim, “Rock Pile” would involve a wrong turn on Highway 21 if you wanted to go to Tomah that way. 😉

Everyone, have fun celebrating the solstice! (It officially occurs on Monday at 10:49 p.m., but who wants to attend an event at that time of day?)

Christmas is only a week away. Maybe we’ll be hearing the dulcimer/banjo version next Christmas.

I did something today that I haven’t done since April: put out a new cache. Already submitted it.

I hope not due to your Christmas goodie plates.

              Ha! Good one, Hitwoman! 😆

Is it time to let FTPs go, too?

Well, I’m off, not on. 😕 Just made another batch of soupy fudge. I think the marshmallows get crappier every year. I still have to frost the cut-out cookies, and I hate doing that. I always have extra of some of the stuff I find too irresistible to stay away from; hence, a few extra pounds come January. This will be the last year I do Christmas goodie plates for others. The people we give this stuff to are moving away or dying off. Down to maybe 5-6 people, and they need the calories just about as much as we do. Sometimes traditions, like GC streaks, have to end. Time to … let it go.

That doodle must not be all that fun for people who can’t read music. Thankfully, I can, and I have played all those pieces.

“Where is everyone?” is probably one of those pre-used posts that the wormhole devours permanently, like “FTP” and other common posts. Unfortunately, “Where is everyone?” is becoming all to common in the drivel… 🙁

Maybe use “YO! People!” next time there is a lull.

Earlier this morning I had the second post on this page and now it’s gone???

It was at about 9:00 AM

Maybe WA was trying to make your post pretty again, and it permanently fell into the wormhole.

Did you actually see your post come up in the #2 position? I usually check when I post because it may not register or I may not have hit “submit”. Thinking doesn’t always make it so.

Or it could just be a sign of the end of times for the drivel.

Did a bunch of Christmas baking, organized the recycling for tomorrow, went out to lunch with a bunch of ladies, did a little bit of shopping, started the laundry, now getting ready to make fudge. The wrapping has not gotten started yet.

While I was out birding, Trekkin’ was out doing cache maintenance. Looks like we’ve done a random act of kindness by ‘donating’ a 50 cal ammo can to someone. We have never had problems in that area other than critters, so that makes me sad.

Did they leave any of the cache “innards”?

After spotting a budding nest under the hood of the car in the garage, we put out the traps. Caught two mousies so far, plus one mole or similar creature. Peanut butter it is. Now if we could just get those stupid long-eared terrorists to fall for the bait in the live trap we put out when they start munching on our tulips and hostas in the spring!

You could have just made Mr. GT’s FTP disappear, WA. And a few of his others.

We did it in September of 2008, early in our caching career, but we visited the location three times before for DNFs. The only way we found the cache was because Labrat had replaced the container on a very early LCG mission, and after we DNFed that once, I begged for mercy, and he gave me detailed instructions of where to look. Lots of punky decaying wood (could all be sawdust by now), GZ right next to the water (when when we weren’t being sent elsewhere), and a nasty wet ditch to get across from the road. I still have nightmares, and from his response, Labrat might also. 😉

GCVK7D – CO comes and goes. Our logs start on 11/15/2007. In spite of what jar42 claims, many others comment on the wet passage. My theory has always been that jar42 can fly.
