Yesterday, I was at a rural cemetery somewhere near Madison. I saw a gravestone of a lamb. It had been toppled over. So, I moved it back to the correct position and took time to remove the weeds that had overgrown the flat part. I removed grass clippings from the engraving to realize that this young man lived a mere 4 years, nearly a century ago (1914-1918).
^ ^ ^ THIS is geocaching.
And the rest of your story gave me chills, BBG. Ye be a good pirate.
Not sure how I got two.
It’s called the “GreenThumb” effect.
Just exactly how long have you been waiting to do that, SL?
Actually, I was just bumping up the thread when I saw what post that was, so I just did a couple more to get the one with all fives. Really.
Did a little research to find that our favorite smasher of ground got find #7000 at GC5KHVV in Indiana while on the road yet again. Hard to keep track of that guy, but in his hides or finds, he always tries to make things memorable! Congrats on the milestone, Clayton!
I think that the Jasmer challenge has to be the toughest challenge of them all, unless you were there caching in the very beginning.
Not sure how Natloh filled his grid, but he was caching in Wisconsin quite early on. Might have some Jasmer-filling caches in there that no one else has… 😉 Congrats on achieving Jasmer completion, Alan!

Bumping this thread back up to the top from seventh place on the most-recent list…
Nice work all around on that one, lostchecq! Way to represent! Congrats on the 5000 finds, and thanks for all of your hides.
Hmmmm… BigJim is stuck at a desk for another couple of hours… Wonder what he can do with this:
:13:Congrats, BBG… Bummer, amita.
So, Noonan… Finding anything to keep you busy out in Oregon? 😉

0.7″ of liquid craphas in Sandland overnight. Watching it come down between 4:00 and 5:00, it sure looked like it would be more than that. The weather radio was working overtime, and there was actually live TV at that hour.
Well, that was nice wake-up music, BBG. Or are the trumpets announcing that you are headed for your weekly visit to see Bert? 😈
