On our way to dinner this evening, Mr. Sandlanders managed to take out a terrorist that tried to cross the road in front of us. Too bad it wasn’t one of our home-grown terrorists, but at least we found one that couldn’t escape the Escape.

I think the D5-T5 souvenir starts today, Noonan.
The watched pot never boils.
I see the same here. The ones listed are all for the Cache Rescue missions segment of the LCG.
Wear the life vest. Wear the life vest. Wear the life vest.
Shorts and aqua shoes make getting in and out of the canoe easier (more options). Just don’t forget to put sunscreen on your legs and feet. Mr. S got quite pink in some spots from when he was out fishing a few hours on Monday. Take water to drink. Shift your positions every so often, both sitting and paddling. Sunglasses.
We aren’t expert paddlers, but we have over twenty years experience of tame canoeing.
Does everyone have a D5 or T5 cache picked out for the next souvenir?
I suppose I could do Party Island though I don’t know why.
Same here, jar42, although it never occurred to me to do that one. 🙄 River is up right now because they must have the gates open. More rain coming. There are a couple on the Chain near Waupaca that we haven’t done, and lots of D5 challenges, but those are a ways away. Maybe I should look at a D5 puzzle… 😯
It’s an old person’s disease.
Like not spotting the FTP opportunity? 😉

Interesting end to the day… We were in the Wheelhouse having pizza buffet with Gram and Gramps, and their phones alerted them to a severe T-storm warning in Waupaca. We couldn’t tell anything, but the din in the crowded restaurant drowned out a lot… except for one peal of thunder. We all decided to head out (6:40), and we dashed through the start of the raindrops to our cars. It was really dark, and then it was really pouring and blowing. From listening to the radio station, we knew we would head out of it as soon as we reached Waushara County and could put in a good stretch south. Yep, that was the answer. Pretty dry by the time we hit Wild Rose. Still some dark clouds to the west, but we got home and got the car unloaded OK, and we are safe and sound in our non-summer home.
The event had perfect weather, and good attendance.

Five more FTPs until I tie the guy in the goofy hat. 😈 He did say he would be gone all week, didn’t he?
:ftp:
LTP… and Mister Greenthumb is on vacation…
