In a little while, weโll be on our way to the Boundary Waters.

Super! And while you’re gone, we’re going to sneak over to your house and have a look at Trekkin’s album collection… ๐ ๐
The rain let up enough about an hour ago for us to go outside to check on things. We had an inch of rain in the rain gauge, and the mini terrorist was sitting in the middle of our flower bed, munching on a pink blossom. The rain has started up again, and I really don’t care what is happening to that baby bunny!
The younger princess is my worry. She isnโt crazy about the idea of being under the reign of the older one.
I think the younger princess needs her own tasks and responsibilities, beholden only to the Captain and the Lady. When one of you comes home for the day, she can report on what was accomplished on her watch. The older princess can also get points docked for bossiness. And as you have always done, they each get special time as a single princess with Dad.
Nope. Here is another photo hint, taken at the last park we needed in the biome:

This is the last weekend I have to work. Tomorrow will be the last weekday I have off.
Can a pirate become a nine-to-five guy?

We donโt have any nearby with many favorite points, but we can get out and about enough to find something.
I don’t think you’ve done our replacement for the virtual at the Korean War Memorial in Plover yet: GC43GKR (13 FPs so far)
The new GC search function has a way to filter for favorite points, and you can set the radius. Most of our “close” unfound caches with over ten FPs involve… rock climbing…
That was my interpretation, too, Birdin’, but the last GS newsletter had something about deadlines to submit event pages. The only deadline that should matter is two weeks before September 2. And the CITO souvenir looks like it’s combined with finding an EarthCache, which would be a lot better than trying to find a CITO event in July.
Maybe if I used an app I would know more about what is going on… ๐
Central Sands Prairie?
Nope. But we stopped by this place on our travels:

I booked a campsite in Mesa Verde National Park this morning. Woo hoo!
When we were there a few years ago with our great-nephew, we booked a room at the Farview Lodge well into the park. No TVs. It was really quiet. We sat on our balcony and watched lightning over New Mexico in the distance. When we heard some rustling in the bushes not far below us, we went running inside! (We think it was a deer… nothing dangerous.)
If I remember correctly, the campgrounds are near the entrance of the park, and one has to drive the winding roads up to get to the interesting stuff. They were doing road construction the time we were there. Flaggers in many spots. Still a great place to visit.
They enjoy rose petals… ๐
We finally have our first WGASPS biome souvenir. Any guesses as to which one? (No caches from a recent outing have been logged yet… and Birdin’ is ineligible for this contest, since I told her the answer.)
I know there is a LFL Multi south of Rapids that I havenโt found yet.
I have some books I keep meaning to add to that LFL. We could probably do the new handful of caches in that general area whenever we do that…
:13:
You mean you won’t be a pirate in search of treasure anymore, BBG? ๐
