I emailed him about Scarabidae Deltosum Gibbosum…er.. whatevers its name is. I got a reply from him but I can only guess that his interest has gone to other things. Which reminds me, I wonder if the final for that cache is still there? Someone might want to check that out and do a rescue. Perhaps email Art and if he doesn’t want to back, rehide it elsewhere as a single stage cache. I believe it currently is in violation of our rules for proximity to railroad tracks.
I remember Nature Hill well. It is where I first met Cachecows. We met around waypoint nine as I recall, the pregnat tree, and we all had some trouble with finding it but they eventually found it and snuck away to finish the hunt. I’m betting that this hide inspired Ranger Boy for his Ranger Patrol. Thats 21 or 22 waypoints depending on your puzzle skill.

Sounds like a good idea. If needed,I might be able to get the company to let me use an LCD projector so everyone wouldn’t have to crunch around a monitor or laptop.
I spoke too soon. It’s 9:52pm and I just got home from doing Ranger Patrol and other things. I went to log in and nothing! The pocket quiry virus must be slowly eating away at the rest of the system.
6:15 PM and I was in a few minutes ago.
There seems to be others who are not using Road Runner and are having problems too. I created a couple searches to go right to my Hotmail account. Here it is Saturday morning and I received one yesterday and it wasn’t my most important search.
I think that some of the problem is resources on Irish’s end. If he’d communicate such things to us rather than letting us hang and guess, I’d wouldn’t be so upset. I’m paying money for this stuff. If he needs more to deliver what we want, I’ll pay.
I changed one quiry to a zip file. Didn’t get it. Also added one to be sent to my Hotmail address. It has been over 24 hours. I’m getting withdrawl symptons… anyone got the geocacher’s annonymous hotline number? Brrrr….
The thread about this on geocaching.com is http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=61141&st=0&#entry757251 . I’ve been firing off messages to security.rr.com also and so far have only received automated replies which condense down to say ”tough luck”.
That’s the message that I got when trying to email one of the locals through the geocaching.com email service. I’m going back to the national board and see whats going on. Some .rr.com people there also seem to have been blocked since Friday.
Thanks for the offer. I received a phone call from Pharmteam last night and this morning we were flagged across the finish line. Wink wink!
I just thought, I don’t know if you finished this one or not. If not and you’d like to do it, let me know. I can stand back and smirk and giggle like Karen and Lucien did!

Not trying to change your mind but both of my GPS’s and several accessories were purchased on eBay, among other items. People live and die by feedback.
After a few sputtered atempts, I have been fully plucked and spun. Pretty neat program. Just a bit more messing around and time spend waiting for things to get ready for the hotsynch.
Not that I need them, but I see that images do not download. I have depth of pages set for three. Is there some other setting to change or should I just forget the pictures?

Get out there and find some more cache!!!
I assume you are refering to the maps on geocaching.com. I don’t think they can be modified.
What I use is Mapsource, which is a Garmin program and unfortunately isn’t cheap. But I have it and load my waypoints on that and see all the roads and such.
What IS free, donations accepted, is USAphotomaps which is really a fantastic aid for planning. You can load your waypoints from your GPS into the program and it will overlay satellite photos and topographical maps so you can see the lay of the land, rivers and roads.
I think others use some mapping programs available for less money. I don’t used them but others will likely add their preferences. Good luck and have fun!

WaukeshaBest Wishes to you and a thank you to all who have added to my enjoyment of life by just being part of this great hobby. May our friendships be vigorous and our differences few.
Thanks everyone. #500 came in Iowa while traveling across I80. I was feeling drowsy and needed a break so pulled into a rest stop. In front of me were trails which smelled of caches. A phone call to back home found that there was indeed one present. Off I went and found the cache. Also saw that Pharmteam was here once too!
