Just another opinion from a different person, I have tested the chest mount one. At first it was weird to have your gps close to you but with the flexible mounting I was able to move it away from my chest to a more comfortable position. It works really good for a long hike or dificult terrane. It will keep your hands free (thus the name) 😆 in case you do fall you can grab or brace yourself better than you could while holding your gps. Mind you this is coming from a big fat guy who likes to fall a lot. While it does feel different it does make a big differance. My final thought is I like it. Try it sometime it might make you change your mind.

For the record I was only kidding with my response. I do not condone cheating. It is not the right thing to do. But I do believe that the only dumb question is the one that is not asked.

plus it is only cheating if you get caught 😆

I have a pair of these similar to the ones shown made by Cobra and everything and nowhere does it say that I need a license for it. The one thing I know you need a license for is Ham radios and something along those lines but not for something this small the power in the them is not that strong. I think it depends more on the amount of power you are broadcasting at. Example more power greater distance less power shorter distance mine clam to go 20 miles I think on the best day new battery’s it went 4-5 miles in the city. But on an average day it goes about 1-2 miles.

Our first trip was to Mill Bluff State Park. The pond was great except for the 400 kids from the reserve base that came in on Saturday it became very load at times. and the mosquito’s we tried to do 2 cashes out there and were bitten alive we even had on 100% deet sprayed on. Other than that it was a blast next trip Merrick state Park. Looking forward to it according to the site map it look like in the back of our site is the river and we will be able to walk right out and go fishing while on our site.

I am just happy it is working better now. One of the problems is if it was just a little overcast I could not get a lock on any satilites. now yesterday I turned it on while it was starting to storm and it took a little bit but I got a lock on and even got 3d. now how often should I look for updates once a month or just wait until my unit goes weird.

well here it is a weird one. ok if look at earlier post you can see that i have been having problems with my GPS. well here is the weird thing. before vacation i just checked to see if there were any updates for it so i could use the dang thing. i have checked before like once a week and it kept saying no new updates. well like i said i just wanted to check and it said no new updates so i clicked finish and then there was an updated for the WAAS feature. i clicked finish again and now my GPS work’s better than it did before when i used it this weekend it kept me in (under tree cover) to a +/- 4 feet. is this weird or what or have i been missing something. any help would be great.

well everyone we survived our first camping trip in the camper. we had a blast. the only problem we had was with the site we were at site 1 and it was bi-level and it was weird. we ended up backing in as far as we could then pushing the camper around until we got it were we wanted. other than that we had a great time learned alot about the camper and how things work. well just wanted everyone to know how it went pretty soon we will be experienced camper campers

Thanks for all the help. We plan on going camping at least 5 more times this year. but I would like to hear what kind of experience people have had at state parks and if any one has a favorite park. We have camped at Mirror Lake in a tent back about 5 years ago but the one thing I did not like about it was it seemed to get a lot of teenagers there that would party all night then go to Wisconsin Dells during the day. So it was loud and it seemed we always had guest that would sneak into our site at night and use our tarp over our picnic table during rainy events for shelter. It was weird, but all in all it was a good time. Basically what I am asking is to hear about where people have camped what experience they have had and get ideas for future camping trips. It does not have to be a state park it could be anywhere private, National Forrest, anywhere.

    Thanks for any information

I think I might need to change the name for something that shows me and the wife.
