I wonder does anyone else have any LEO storys I like to hear about them.

lol todd yes I cant take credit for calling them LEO i got the term from Chicago cachers. but it seems to fit here in Wisconsin. I used to have some printed versions if the police handouts but my cache pack got wet one day and everything ran and you couldnt read it or anything. so i use the pro version printed from the WGA and it basically explains caching really nice.

I think one of my most important qualification is that I am an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and I have served on several different boards throughout my Boy Scout career, not only on a Troop level but through the council level as well. I also served with the Order of the Arrow on the council level. Since I have been on all those boards I have helped get camping trips organized and on the council level I helped get events and programs started and through to the next level. I have also helped get other Scouts started on their Eagle Scout projects. With me serving on all the different Boards I am able to work well with others and listen to the members of the council and bring their points and concerns to the front and come up with solutions.

Wow, yes it is only a stump but why destroy it for a cache let nature take its course. And if this was on private property that would be worng too. but again my opinion take it or leave it.

That is said I can’t believe how far some people will go to get a smiley. I know I have looked into stumps and pieces have broken off but not like that. I agree that cachers who purposely destroy an area just for a find is wrong. I think 90% of cachers are environmentally sound they care about the environment and want to protect it. They also cache no trace to first save the environment but also not to leave clues for others to make the find special for them. This is my personal opinion this is my belief and how I think most cachers are. Don’t hold it against me and I won’t hold it against you we all play the way we want.

As most people know I am on a diet plan and part of my diet plan is physical activity. I go to meetings once a week and some of the things I do is go to other classes and talk about geocaching and the WGA to new people and tell them to check out the website, I also hand out pamphlets to them that have the WGA logo on it along with the website address. When I meet muggles/LEO I tell them what I am doing I also mention the WGA and the website. Just recently when I went to Illinois I went and did Beverly I dropped about 8 WGA pencils in the cache. I do talk a lot about the WGA to a lot to people and I spread the word to as many people as I can.

There are some things I think the WGA can do to help get the word out, things like there is a WGA Facebook page and maybe we can start posting more in there. Same thing with Twitter maybe we can start posting things on Twitter and Facebook like doing a question a day or event announcements. I have brought up the idea of WGA patches; this would be another idea to help promote the WGA. I also think we can get a better newsletter; these are some of the things I think we can change. I also think we can put on a couple more events like more CITOS and maybe a computer class or even learn your GPS class. I am planning along with Averith to be putting on geo101 classes at Pike Lake state park we are going to try and do it once a month and would like to have the WGA banner there to promote geocaching and the WGA.
